Westy XII from Fall 2013

    I have a XII from August 2012 and am looking for a 2013 bottled around the same time of year. Are these already in the hands of trading Americans? Or do I need to wait a month or two before I throw up an ISO? Thanks.

    They aren't really held back from being sold once they're bottled. A good friend bought me some last November at St. Sixtus for a very special occasion. I think he picked them up within a month of the bottle date?

    There is no real way to tell how many of a specific bottling date have been traded to the US. Your best bet would be to poke around the Belgian forum to see if anyone over there has information, then maybe you could contact them for a trade.

    Thanks, that's good to know. I was mostly just curious how fast it gets across the ocean. I'm hoping to find someone stateside to trade with though, just for ease and shipping cost.

    It doesn't get distributed, that was a one-time thing with the gift sets. People in the US who have already traded for it generally look for limited releases valued at ~$15 - 20/bottle, which compensates for the already spent shipping costs.
