This reminds me of my favorite saying attributed to Harry Truman. He supposedly once asked for someone to find him a one armed economist because he was tired of asking for an expert opinion, hearing one, but then having the economist go on to say, "But on the other hand...."

They still aren't wet. Fresh is debatable. The beer is brewed at least a month before you see it on shelves, making the time between hop harvest and brew day negligible.

SN should just say "freshly dried" or "2016 Hop Crop"

    :-)

Or the folks in the PNW should just say "freshly picked or "wet" hops.

Well, the use of the word "Wet" is what has gotten us to this point in the first place. here's a separate question though; breweries in my town have already started to received their finished, pelletized hops from this years harvest. Using SN logic, couldn't those brewers say they are using "fresh" hops?

Well those pellitized hops are currently much more fresh than they will be 6 mos from now (if not stored properly), so yes they could indeed currently call them fresh.

If those hops get old enough the do what the Belgians do for their Lambic brewing they could be called "aged" hops. :-)

    Cheers!
