Anybody know where I can pre-order wet hops from? Everywhere I have seen online wont ship them, they're only available for pickup. I did find wet citra hops at Brewmasters warehouse but I was wondering if you guys know of anywhere else.

Umm... you're 2 months early. Typically available around September.

I know, but most sites have you pre-order by the beginning of August.

Does anyone ship them to retail customers? IMO that would be a bad idea, given the nature of the product.

If a homebrewer wants wet hops from a non-local hop farm than what is needed (I would say required) is overnight shipping and you will need to brew the beer that day the wet hops arrive.

    Cheers!

Yes I still have about 3 weeks until the deadline, but I would like to get my name on the list early to avoid them selling out.

Northern Brewer does... or at least they did in the past.

The Maltose Falcons typically do a club buy from a Hopyard in Washington, IIRC, so the guys in our club typically get wet Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, etc. from them.

I think Northern Brewer was 'retail store pickup only' in 2011 and 2012. I remember because some people got all excited, and then less excited when they realized they couldn't add them to their normal shopping cart. Did they they do wet hops in years before that?

This makes good sense, if the yard shipped immediately, via fast means.

No, you're right. There was some other online retailer that had wet hops that would be shipped, just can't remember them. Maybe I'm just losing my mind, as three straight weeks of advising undergrad researchers and having house guests after a recent move has taken its toll on me... I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
