Althea has been bottled and is shipping out to wholesalers throughout our distribution area. One can expect to find it in relatively heavy concentration here in the Lehigh Valley, NJ and Philadelphia.

Weyerbacher Althea is a bottle-conditioned Belgian-style Dubbel with plums added weighing at 7.7% ABV. One dollar from the sale of each bottle of this beer is being donated to the Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Patient Assistance Fund to help defray some of the ancillary costs of breast cancer treatment.

Had some Althea at the Belgian Beer Fest in Boston last weekend. It's good. I like most of Weyerbacher's offerings and they are convenient to find here in NJ.

Drinking beer and being philanthropic at the same time. That's a win win.

Big fan of Weyerbacher and Belgian brews so I can see myself buying some of this in the very near future

Anyone know if it will see their distro footprint or will only be available in the NE?

Hey- it looks like they're keeping the abv reasonable, too- not over 10% which marred some of their other special release beers like XVII and XVIII. I usually pick up Weyerbacher whenever I see it- the question is, will I go back for seconds? This one might fall into that camp- really looking forward to it.
