Anyone know what year Weyerbacher stopped putting "Visit Our Brewpub - Easton PA" and their phone number at the bottom of their labels of Blithering Idiot?

Friend gave me a bunch of bottles with this label. He's not sure how old they are, but 'guessed' "three or four years, maybe more" - but also gave me a 2010 Olde School in the batch of beers. (He decided he didn't like Barleywines after buying a bunch)

Trying to figure out how old this is, or at least narrow it down.

Ah yeah, he does... Good idea. And after I posted I remember I have the business card for a local Weyerbacher rep who might know as well.

The beer is going down quite nicely, just curious if I can nail down a date any better.

    Thanks

Here it is, and you can also post a question on the Weyerbacher site and they are good about answering them.

Its at least 12 years old. We stopped using that label in 2001. Glad to hear its held up well! Cheers!

Whoa. So much for my friend 'guessing' it was 3-4 years, with the caveat of 'at least.' I noticed when I poured it, there was virtually no carbonation, but wasn't expecting THAT old.

Definitely needs to be drank at cellar temp, had a weird bitterness when cold but that goes away as the temperature rises. A great caramel sweetness throughout with some sugar from the fruits I'd guess, slight medicinal finish, but it's a pleasant finish. No booziness at all.

    Thanks!
