Don't forget Idiot's Drool! Absolutely great... oh wait... nevermind :stuck_out_tongue:

They do make some great brews, just not anywhere close to the best on the planet.

I forgot about the Imperial Pumpkin. I've always had such high hopes for Pumpkin beers and was always disappointed. Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin was the first one I've had that was actually great.

In terms of flavor? How so? I've only ever picked up the sixers; maybe I'm missing out.

I feel like it is almost a completely different beer with the bottle conditioning. The flavors seem more well-rounded and the carbonation works better. It might just be me though. Give it a shot.

Yeah, Idiots Drool was a total mess. I do give them credit for trying though.

In theory, yes it is ridiculous, but anybody who says they have never been influenced by a label (especially at the beginning of their craft beer career) is a liar:slight_smile:

I especially liked Weyerbacher Fifteen, super smokey, when super fresh. Also always loved Double Simcoe.Heresy,Imperial Pumpkin are tasty as well....Yeah,Weyerbacher are good in my book.Don't really care about their labels,as whats in the bottle is what counts.....

    Cheers All.....

Unfortunately, while most BAs don't much care about labels, most of the beer drinking public look at them. I love Weyerbacher, but their products sit on my shelves because the packing on them is so terrible. Heresy and Insanity particularly look like 90's nu-metal band album covers.

i hope the new insanity labels are even worse... i'll drink merry monks and their other offerings from occasionally to regularly, but insanity i can guarantee you that if no one else buys my local allotment, i'll whittle away the whole thing eventually.

I think most of you are already aware but.... Weyerbacher has a new logo, new packaging and new labels. Riserva was supposted to be the last beer released with the old logo/labels. Hopefully we will start to see some new designs soon.

Enjoying my bottle of Heresy after working the grave shift right now. A nicely balanced brew! Very tasty! Highly recommended. This and Insanity are just great examples of barrel aged beers.
