Whales on Tap?

CBS is probably going to be a popular answer to this one, I also had a ton of Cantillon on tap at the Allagash WFD in May.

 

Also have had CBS and KBS multiple times and lots of great samples at EBF and ACBF.

Not true "whales" but when you can walk into Armsby Abbey or Dive Bar in Worcester and get 5+ Hill Farmstead hoppy beers on tap, that's as good as whales any day in my opinion.

And it was gone in 30 minutes if I'm not mistaken.

 

A few years ago I was in San Francisco visiting a friend, after ringing up a large tab at Mikkelar, we went to a place called The Willows. It was a thursday night and it was the goose island migration week. there was BCS, coffee, bottles of cherry, prop, king henry. and the place was empty.

 

Just this Tuesday I saw a bar in a town where I was going to visit a friend had Sucuba on tap. While drinking a glass I hear the bartender say they were tapping something rare Wednesday. I asked what and he told me Parabola! I wasn't sure if I could make it back the next night. But I made the trip. Left later than I wanted... and I scored the last glass of the keg! Fantastic! Tonight they are tapping FW XVIII. Not sure if I will make it back again but even if I don't, it was a good.week!

 

I think most of my 'whales' on tap are limited to a couple different breweries.

Ale Arsenal in San Carlos had all those you mention on at once, including Parabola earlier this week. Or was it last week? Not the GI Prop however...Sadly.

Whole foods had a Goose Island release party and was able to get the regular and coffee on tap. Then last weekend in Tulsa went into a random non beer bar and they had KBS. nice

 

I recently crossed off Permanent Funeral and Dark Lord when they were tapped on the same night.

 

had KBS at a whole foods and didn't leave for 6 hours!

 

Pliny on tap numerous times, Black Tuesday on tap as well as Vanilla Rye were beers I was glad to have had the chance to tick off my list.

 

I know a place that had 100% 1983 Dirty Horse on tap more than one time... Can anyone beat that?

 

CBS at Founders the day before the KBS release was sublime.

 

Was at Champion Ale House in Virginia last fall and had a taste of BCBS13. When I ordered a glass, the server returned and said that the keg had just ran dry.
10 minutes later, he brought me a glass. They had another keg, and tapped it.

 

Cherry Rye, but I don't think it counts as it was on tap at the Great American Beer Festival.

 

Struise Pannepot Wild & Närke Konjaks! Stormaktsporter are probably the most whale-like beers I have had on tap but I am not an expert.
