Many of you probably saw the thread I put up offering BA Cuir and asking for BCS. I meant BCBS and he was the first to prompt me of my mistake. He also made an offer and was sure to tell me that what I was looking for was light in comparison to what I was offering. I asked him what he would add, and he gave me a nice list, also offering extras. I got ridiculous offers, ones way outside of what I asked for, and some even outright trying to cheat me. Out of 30 offers, I got maybe 10 that were fair, not trying to rip me off. It is great to see that while a lot of BAs out there are trying to maximize their trades at the expense of others, some true BAs really do care. Great package, awesome trader.
it's a regular trade, but if you followed along at the time, the OP was basically asking to be exploited, and this BA apparently made sure he got some good stuff for his 100% BA cuir. i think it's worth praising, personally.
great to see, and a lot of good beer there. had an 07 BCBS over winter and it was awesome. Anything New Glarus is great too
Whartontallboy was my target in a BIF centered around glassware + beer last summer. I tried to put a nice box together for him, one which I would be pleased to get. Dude turned around and sent me a Westy 12 and a Westy chalice as a "small thank you box." I sent a box back with a want of his that I'd forgotten to include in his BIF box, and I tossed in a couple bottles of a porter I brewed with chocolate and coffee and asked that he send me feedback. Dude was in thr middle of s big move, but he eventually got back to me like 2 months later with tasting notes, which is awesome to have somebody take the time to do for us homebrewers. Stand up guy!
Did an IP trade with him in Chicago last summer. I didn't have a car, and he offered to take me to a Half Acre release then he drove me around looking for Parabola. Great dude indeed.
Forgot to mention, we never found the Parabola, but he found one shortly thereafter and a week or 2 later sent me a box.
