I mean, shit, people are claiming to have done Prop and Port Damon 1:1... I don't know what to believe anymore.

I traded a few Abyss (some vintage) for a Prop.

I would gladly trade my Cherry Rye for a Fou Foune.

However, I will say that Fou Foune is the only beer I am really even semi actively seeking, mostly because I brewed an apricot sour (inspired by Fou Foune) and would love to do a side by side when it is done to see if I was anywhere close.

I'd love to try your apricot sour I seriously need to get into home brewing.

It only takes a couple years to make a sour. You better start now and make a ton of it

or could leave a bottle out in the 95f garage for a few days and have the perfect sour.

I brewed this beer about 13 months ago and added the apricot about 3 weeks ago. Long time but when tasting the base beer it tasted a lot like unblended lambic so it was time to add the fruit. Now its a countdown until it completely ferments out and clears up. Cant wait, but hopefully I will wind up with 5 gallons of apricot lambic-inspired beer.

Yea I have 15g of "lambic" in my basement right now. My stuff is anywhere from 9m-6m old, when the fruit harvest comes along this spring-summer ill fruit half of it or so. I can't wait, I also have 5 or so more gallons planned.

That's just my lambics I have 5 gallons of supplication and consecration clone (sup is 12m old) (con 5m) and 10g of a 6 m old Flanders red in a red wine barrel (group project).

I kinda jumped off the deep end....

I wouldnt say off the deep end, I look at it as getting your pipeline going. I have plenty of "clean" beers going now for my pipeline but Ive been moving too often to keep a pipeline going for sours. Hopefully soon I will be in 1 spot for more than a year and a half and cen start a pipeline for sours!

I was considering a supplication-type beer next too, gotta see how this all goes.

Sorry OP for derailing the thread!

Ha...no problem at all...any type of discussion....interesting stuff. It seems the prop is trading way high...I was thinking of offering a 2010 BA BLACKOUT, surly four...something like that for it w/ me kicking in some nice extras but hell....looks like Ill have to bring out the big guns if I want prop...and the lesser ammo for BY and Cherry.

I've been unsuccessful trying to get a Prop thus far, with more than 4 BA Blackouts offered. I accepted a Black Tuesday 1:1 for one of my Backyards.

I have a second prop it was good but I think it's not worth going crazy for, if I was in the states I'd trade it in a heartbeat. Backyard was far superior of a beer (not a fan of fruit too)
