What are some of the better Watermelon Beers you've had? I was able to try Melon Head last year, I thought it was excellent and would like to try more watermelon offerings. Nothing of the watermelon variety is offered in Texas so I will be looking to trade after.

    Thanks for your input,
    -Matt

I like Thomas Hooker's Watermelon Ale but will fully confess that it's pretty much like a light beer with a jolly rancher thrown in. Still a pretty refreshing BBQ beer.

The only one I've had is Hell or High Watermelon, and it's tasty. Especially from a watermelon "cask."

Far too artificial a watermelon taste for me, though your description is perfect.

Boston beer works is the only one i like, and it's gotta be hot out. A nice ale with just a hint of watermelon on the finish. Only can get it on draft though :slight_frown:

Palmetto makes a decent Watermelon Wheat as a seasonal. Nothing that's gonna knock your socks off, but a solid, refreshing brew for a warmer day. Not sure about their distribution though. I don't think they make it out of SC.
