And Origlio dropped them about a year or so ago. Lucky for us that Muller decided to carry them.

    Cheers!

...sometime last year my local distributor reduced their orders to only regular Straub, but they will place a special order if a customer requests. The Series #1 (Spring/Summer) pack should have just been released or will be very soon (website says available March to August). I think I'll request a case.

Second Kent Falls...I’ve only visited once, and have had a few of their beers locally (CT) and on site, but what I’ve had has been worthy!

I'm going to nominate Kelsen Brewing from Derry, NH. They brew some of the best dark beers in the world IMO. The fact I've seen Vinatta sitting on the shelves in MA and NH makes me sad. But also happy because more for me.

Illinois has a lot of quality breweries that don’t get hyped like they should. (And visa versa)

I think most people know and like half acre, but I don’t think HA is as highly regarded by the public as they are throughout the industry.

My other answer is Brickstone. They make absolutely flawless classic IPAs, some really well constructed hazy IPAs, and release stellar barrel aged goodies every winter. Not only that, but they are widely available and reasonably priced.

I bought some 3 Magnets when I was in Tacoma, I thought it was most excellent. Easily a must try and buy.

    1. Central Waters; incredible lineup of BA beers
    2. Lucky Bucket; several great beers, but their Wicked Joe BA coffee stout is INCREDIBLE
    3. White Elm; they keep coming out with great stouts, some BA, some pastry

Underrated? Doesn’t seem to be an easy question to answer, I can think of many great beers from different breweries most will never see or try, the footprint is smallish. Or it’s brewery only, so distribution plays a huge part in this question. So are we looking for larger breweries with national distribution, or regional breweries? So, I guess I’d mention Buriel here, it’s brewed in Asheville and even here the distribution is fairly limited, limited to better retailers, you won’t find it in grocery stores. Even Total Wine doesn’t care them. They also distribute to NY, maybe other hubs . They make great beers right down the line, and if someone’s asks about must have beers I’ve never seen them mentioned.

Seconded on the Straub appreciation. I love most everything I've had from them. I was there on a Saturday some years ago, so didn't get a tour but did enjoy the Eternal Tap.

I just recently got to try Tonewood and Twin Elephant. Both are making excellent beer.

I've heard of them! No idea when I'll get to Lewistown though, but glad to see they're doing some porters and stouts.

I'll always have a soft spot for Lancaster Brewing Co. They make a handful of beers that I can drink anytime.

Great Lakes. Fairly wide variety of styles and they are all done at a high level of craftsmenship IMO.

Prairie - Just because they are distributed fairly widely in stores makes them less hip. I'd put them top 10 best brewery in the country easily, maybe even top 5.

Fiddlehead, specifically their IPA. With all the super hyped (and good) beers in VT I think Fiddlehead really is underrated for what they are. I usually find myself ordering that over the big boys.

I will second the motion for Central Waters. Consistently producing amazing BA beers as well as a great year round line up.
    Ale Asylum, Madison, WI. also.

Firestone Walker - I think most any beer they put in a cardboard box (Proprietor's) is amazing. Their standard shelf 6 pack "Lions" beers are excellent as well and a nice style variety to offer the public. Sad so much of it is old in stores. I saw 6 packs of Pivo Pils in a store cooler the other day dated Jan 2018 (14 months old). The 6pack behind it was from April 2018 (11 months old).

I was not referring to any 5 breweries but could name 5 or more off the top of my head.
    Twin Elephant, Chatham
    Conclave, Flemington
    High Point/Ramstein Butler
    Spellbound, Mount Holly
    Double Nickel, Pennsauken
    Doubtless there are more.

I think most all local breweries are under rated. Some of them make at least a few beers that are every bit as good as the big name guys and they probably will never be heard of. This is true here at home but also in every place that I have visited.

The big guys do have the money and facilities to make their beer consistent where the little guys sometime struggle to do this.
