What beer are you drinking during the lunar eclipse?

Pliny, got to see it for a few minutes. Pretty cool but the clouds covered everything for the most part

 

Drinking a cloudy ipa

 

We had spotty clouds here in Mid Michigan but at the right time it cleared up and had some perfect viewing. Found a lot of my neighbors out in the street watching it. No telescope, but some binoculars helped

No beer though, was trying to work on some wedding invites and I told my client I'd have them for them today, so had to take it easy. I was enjoying some George Dickle No. 1 earlier though.

 

OH AGE. But, it was so cloudy out my way during the eclipse, you couldn't see anything. Very disappointed.

 

The Calling by Boulevard

 

I drank a New Glarus Moon Man and a Maumee Bay Brewing Total Eclipse....and a Southern Tier 2x Stout...and a homebrew I split with the girlfriend. Hey, it was a long eclipse.

Any Fifty Fifty Eclipse would be good. But for the "blood moon" I went for the one with the red wax. Four Roses (2014).

Spectacular viewing once it got above the clouds (at the final 2 minutes of totality).

 

I did not drink anything, as we were on the road home from Denver. One of the 50/50 Eclipse that I bought would have been good if I had been home. But then I would not have seen it as it was cloudy at home. As it were I watched the whole thing!

 

I had a Santa Monica Brewing Wit as I sat at the bar, waiting for a table. All that was visible was a vague dark reddish/brown smudge through tthe marine layer and cloud cover.

Moonshadows! Total coincidence, since I didn't know about the eclipse when I booked the reservation.

I was drinking Smuttynose Finestkind IPA at the time.

 

I had Delirium Tremens on the deck until the clouds rolled in. Still saw most of the eclipse. Cool looking red color.

 

Very cool event. I was fortunate to experience minimal cloudiness. You wouldn't know it by looking at my cameraphone pic. (Taken as the shadow was starting to cross the moon.)

Both are one hitters of sorts, right?

As it turned out I happened to have been drinking my way through a four pack of Victory Moonglow the past couple of days.... Completely unintentional on my part, I didn't realize the eclipse was happening last night until well after I finished the beer.

Nice coincidence though, now that I think of it.
