    Just back from NJ last night

    Got a shit-load of beers (over 2 cases!) and even found 4 new glasses in a NJ thrift store! Sweet!

    Speaking of sweet....pretty tasty Ohio brew!

    Good morning/nite cap (it's 1am Tuesday here) and it looks like I'm becoming a night owl. This DIPA seems appropriate:

    Hop Zombie from Epic (Auckland NZ) Dank, wet hops and citrus. Very tasty and 8.5% doesn't hurt either.

    Rained all day today, so took first ever drive on the "other" side of the road. I drove to grocery store and around the neighborhood and didn't kill us - yea! Cheers!

    Good morning BAs! Another beautiful day here in the Texas hill country - my brother and I got the doors installed over the weekend before the noon sun turned the place into Crematoria and still managed to get to Jester King again yesterday. We stopped at HEB in Bulverde off 46 and I picked up a sixer of this:

    Gotta say this is the nastiest local I've had yet - a nice caramel-malt-forward-no-hops-found IPA. The sixer was refrigerated at HEB and was from the back of the reefer so no recent light damage. Sadly, the first three from the sixer all taste the same: bad. The other three will be recycled into the Edwards Aquifer. Hopefully that cooling JK Fen Tao will be better! Zum Wohl! Prost!

    How's that one drinking? I saved a few bottles of that which I've been holding onto to see if the carbonation goes down. I really like the chocolate chip cookie flavors but when I first had a bottle or 2, I wasn't too crazy about the mouthfeel/carbonation. However the aroma on that one is awesome!!!

    This has held up well. I believe the carbonation has gone down (which is good), but the flavors are still strong. I think you would enjoy it at this point.

    Just like I did when I used to go CD shopping when I was a teenager occasionally I will buy a beer simply because the artwork looks cool. That's what I did with this beer which is the Zodiak IPA by Omnipollo Brewing. Really solid, easily drinkable IPA. Not really bitter or hoppy so it almost tastes more like an IPA.

    I must have the most un-American palate ever. A few weeks ago I almost barfed after trying Not Your Father's Root Beer. Then I was offered this abomination here. Seriously, how on earth is this meant to be good? I threw the whole thing away after braving the tinniest of sips. Somebody revoke my passport now.
