    It's a part deux kinda night for sure....

    The 2014 is more sprightly than the 2013, no oxidation at all. A slight hint and nod to coffee joins the chocobomb, with still that sweet, smooth oatmeal smooth finish.

    2014 is winning right now at the pinnacle of its velvety combination of flavor and the nexus of the contest.

    A quick fridge pull before Wine Club tonight. As you can see, this one has over a year on it - probably because it got stuck in the back of the fridge and I forgot about it. Aroma on this is mulling spice: cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and orange peel. These spices predominate in the flavor as well, with some nice malt sweetness and a little bit of cinnamon-stick astringence on the finish. Quite a bit of booziness as it warmed up, not at all unpleasant. Nice diversion on a fall day!

    Hey again, BA's! About 7:30 here in calm, cooling-down NOVA & I'm back with this:

    I'm usually a big Starr Hill booster...but man, what were they thinking? It's basically an over-spiced Baltic Porter with artificial pumpkin added. So roasty that it tastes burnt.

    It's not drainpour bad, but this brew is a pissant:

    ...eh? Smashing Pumpkins, pumpkin beer? ...Anyone?...No? Sigh...:stuck_out_tongue:



    As always- Drink up & drink on my fellow advocates!

    Eh, I don't get a lot of pumpkin pie. I think it's a decent pumpkin beer though. It's not overwhelming with pumpkin and spice like some, which is what I like. It's balanced and packed with flavor though.
