Good morning all. Enjoying my last can of Beans while the house is still quiet. Looks to be another day full of College football, beer, and the stink eye from the 'Ol battle axe. Hope you all have a joyous day. Cheers.

Equinox hops are not my choice for an IPA. That being said, Grimm continues to put out some fantastic beers and this is another.

    Morning BA

My go to pale ale, 2 weeks old. Juicy pineapple, passion fruit, mango, peach, tangerine, lemon peel, and pine; with moderate honey malt sweetness and nice bitter/sticky/dry finish. Always fantastic.

My go-to English styled Porter now. Big robust and complex flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, light coffee, caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, and light nuttiness; with restrained plum/apple English yeast fruitiness and light-moderate herbal hops. Balanced herbal/roast bitter finish with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel. Just an all around incredible beer.

One of my favorite Bells seasonals, glad they brought it back. That really doesn't say much though, since I like their entire lineup with the exception of maybe 2-3 beers. Big flavors of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, and toasty/biscuit malts; balanced by raisin, plum, fig, cherry, clove, light pepper, and light banana yeast ester flavors. Nice balanced yeast spice/roast bitter finish; with a really nice creamy mouthfeel. I've always really enjoyed Belgian style stouts, especially Boulevard Dark Truth(which we should be getting distro early next year). Can't wait. This one is very well executed as well.

My other and last bottle of Sweet Repute. Still absolutely incredible! Flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, coconut, bourbon, maple syrup, and golden raisins. Balanced oak/bourbon spiciness on the finish with zero overly sweet or cloying notes at all. Very smooth with zero booziness and only a small lingering warmth after the finish. Just amazing all around as expected. I reviewed this initially 1.5 years ago, and this seems to be even more integrated on barrel flavors with additional bourbon/oak spiciness; and a bit more raisiny fruit notes, but not too much. Love it.

Glacier is feeling extra playful this morning lol

Still my favorite 2012 album. They finally released that that their new LP will be done in March, so I am so damn excited now.

Good morning BAs! Updated my operating system to Windows 10 yesterday and now I've gotta learn where everything is at AGAIN! God, I hate windows. DOS was soooo much easier to use. Looks like another "Dummy" book in my immediate future. Hauling one of Mrs. Lizard's many sewing machines to Northeast today for PM after which we'll head over to Erie for chow for her and beer for guess who. Looks like next Tuesday's trip to Buffalo will be abbreviated - just beer, no quilts.
    Today's breakfast beer is:

A modest offering from a company that is part of AB-Inbev - didn't realize that when I bought the beer.

[IMG] I couldn't post this last night due to internet issues. While visiting family in SE North Carolina, I discovered a great bottle shop in the small town of Clarkton that features North Carolina craft beers. I purchased this mixed 6. Reviews to follow.

The store is called Kinlaw's Beers and Wine and it is a gem located in a small, rural community. Anyone traveling in the Lumberton area should check this place out.
