Good morning all. Found this one hiding in a box while I was searching for breakfast last night so guess who became this mornings sacrifice. Gonna be a bit chilly today so the internal fire is gonna need some stoking. Looking forward to some really good football and some really good beer as well. Have a great day. Cheers.

    Happy Saturday, BAs!
It's a crisp 40 degrees here this morning. Perfect for some yardwork after breakfast.

    Morning BA

My go to fall gose, wish this was available all year. Juicy blood orange and balanced tart lemon/lime fruitiness and light-moderate salinity/spice/acidity on the finish; with light wheat/crackery malts. Balanced sweet/tart finish. Super crisp and drinkable. I slightly prefer the normal version overall, but this one is a lot more drinkable with a bit lower acidity and higher sweetness.

My go to fall seasonal brown. Robust and complex flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, nutty, and light cocoa/chocolate malts; balanced by herbal/spicy/light citrusy hop character and bitterness. A spot on American brown ale. So delicious.

One of my go-to pumpkin ales this year. Big robust flavors of pumpkin, brown sugar, toast, brown bread, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, caramel, and herbal spice earthiness; with some raisiny dark fruit notes in the back. Balanced herbal spicy bitterness against the malt sweetness. Definitely my favorite as far as darker malty Pumpkin ales go. Lots of complexity going on.

Cellar grabbing a 2013 B-Bomb. Absolutely insane. Flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, vanilla, raisin, plum, fig, cherry, light licorice, bourbon, and toasted oak. Balanced bittersweet roast and bourbon/oak spice finish. Dense creamy/silky/slick mouthfeel. I reviewed a 2012 2 years ago last month, so this is technically a year older than I last had it. This has seemed to open up a bit more on the dark fruit complexity and overall balance. Just plain incredible as expected.

    Cheers!

    New Gorod LP is excellent.

My #1 Album of the year right now. The bass playing is insane on the whole album. I probably already listened through the album at least 30 times and it was only released last month.

Good morning/good night - 11pm Sat. night and packing for 6am flight tomorrow to Cairns for snorkeling around the great barrier reef...my nightcap is an outstanding West Coast style IPA from Big Shed Brewing Co., located in a warehouse stall or "shed" next to my buddy's shed where he makes curtain toppers or "pelmets" here in Adelaide, AU:

Tropical fruit juice including pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. Semi dank fresh wet hop earthy bitterness too. Bears fornicating on a surf board art work is merely an added bonus, for this well crafted IPA, at 7.5%. I feel like I found a home run here :-). Photo below of draft at brewery earlier today- cheers!

    Good morning, BA!
Currently in the world of limited internet, so I only got through about HH time yesterday on this thread's younger brother. Will have to catch up.

Today seemed like a juice day instead of coffee, so went with two juicy beers in juice glasses:

Our last Solar Abyss is 3.5 months old and not bad, though different, with age. First I've seen the Blood Orange Gose in a while, and it is a perfect AM brew.

Some might recognize the Peanuts glasses go years of yore. Bringing beer along counts as being prepared, and choosing which ones is work, but fun.

The Tradewinds and Elysian are from last night, slight violation but since they're actually in the same doctored photo, can I skate by on a technicality ?? The former was a very pretty beer when decanted. Little sweet but light and interestingly tasty. Didn't check the date on the Elysian, didn't think I needed to. Didn't taste bad, but funny when I looked at it for my review.

Morning coffee. Home-infused Edmund Fitzgerald, with bourbon-soaked oak chips, coffee beans, and vanilla. Completing the all-Ohio theme:

Yardwork mostly done. I'm waiting for our son to wake up so I can do the leaf-blowing.
While I'm waiting, I am drinking Smokin' Rauchbier from Great North Aleworks. Very nice, like I'm drinking bacon.

Always reliably-tasty stuff from Starr Hill. Even with some age on it, it's still big & bad

Alright folks, it's Saturday...time again for my pet project, BA Anime Saturday! 6th edition(?) ...The standard disclaimer: This is just a nostalgia trip for me & anyone else who enjoyed the Sci-Fi channel in the early 90's.

    Today's selection:

We have here what is arguably the worst installment in the 'A-Ko' cannon. It's not only an awful character reboot, it features highlights such as sub-par animation, lazy dubbing & groan-inducing forced humor. However, the unintentional comedy scale is pretty high...& for whatever reason, this became a fairly popular mainstay on Saturday Anime during it's heyday. ...Enjoy!

    Cheers!
