    It has turned into a glorious autumn day here in the happy kingdom. Still a lot of green on the trees, but a blaze of color here and there against the blue sky. Picked the remaining habanero peppers and donned the hazmat suit so I could cut them up to make sauce. My mis en place is all en place...garlic, onions, olive oil...what am I forgetting? Freaking dishwasher and bottles. What is this...home brew bottling day revisited? So personal protective equipment off...you know when you bundle the kids up to go play in the snow and THEN somebody says I gotta go pee?

    Anyway what the hell have a beer...it's been a while. A home brewed IPA from somebody I helped with their first batch and this is it. It isn't bad, but definitely a tad bit over cooked. We had trouble with heat, then trouble with chilling. But more of a traditional take...malty and not so heavy on the citrus and fruit, nice level of bitterness. Other than the heat abuse, it is a damned good first effort.

    I don't always start my morning off with a beer but than again it never rains in Vegas. Decided to enjoy the rain and drink a beer that described the surroundings. Thanks @tgates for yet another great beer.
