Having a bottle of Carnegie Porter brewed by Carlsberg Sweden. The last remaining relic of Sweden's porter brewing heritage. It's really a tasty beer imo, it wont impress anyone who drinks imperial stouts regularly but for a medium gravity/lower abv (5.5%), bottom fermented porter (used to be top fermented) brewed by a lager beer brewer I think it holds its own. It has a nice soft, roasted taste that walks a fine balance between bitterness and sweetness and finishes clean due to the bottom fermentation. As far as my family is concerned this is little more than an ingredient used to make the sauce for a porter roast, and the version used will be the diluted 3.5% abv supermarket version. I've long thought that the brand and the beer deserves a better fate than this, but I also realize that it's nothing like the high gravity, long aged Swedish brewed porters of the 19th and early 20th century, despite the claims to this effect by Carlsberg Sweden.

Stumbled on a local bottle shop I never knew about today selling this for $9.50/4. Don't have to tell me twice.

If you look closely, you can see my beard eating the rest of my face in the reflection.

Sometimes I wonder what the neighbors think of me as I rearrange my woodpile to take a beer picture

    Cheers!

My neighbors are cool, they're just like; "You're taking Beer Photos again?". I don't lie to anyone about my alcohol consumption.

Meh, maybe wrong thread but I was happy to score these guys in a bottle shop about 30 miles from me that I stumbled in after my career expo.
I'll be drinking at least one later
I was floored to see a wOOtStout 3.0 so I grabbed it for $8.99. I've had 10 or so this year plus one, now two, left in the cellar.
