    This just landed in Charleston today! I'm glad we now get Dark Horse Brewing in SC. Hopefully we'll be getting Pt5 later this winter. Cheers!

    Yeah, yesterday I was getting my boxes ready for recycle pick-up...and was like...this box is heavier than normal. I looked again and found three beers within. I'm killing them tonight just in case.

    Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout Winter 15-16. Having recently drunk 1 year old and a 3 year old bottles of this beer IMO Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout is best fresh. Awesome stuff in any case, think I will drink 2.

    Marston's Owd Rodger (7.4%) - a Burton Ale, brewed for centuries before dying out after the war (partially due to ingredient restrictions), and even as popular in Russia as strong porter/stout until it was banned under an import embargo in 1822. It gave it's name to the old saying "gone for a Burton". This example would be a middle-strength one, still keeping all the typical Burton Ale characteristics - warming, fruity, with a subtle, soft sweetness. Also if it's a subtly complex as this bottled, I'd love to find the cask version.

    Drunk from my 1940s/50s glass for extra authenticity.

    Anyway, I'm drinking Grumpy Pumpkin Ale, a mediocre beer from Stark Brewing Company in Manchester, NH.
