Yesterday, in WBAYDN #1103, @WesMantooth said, and I quote ...
"Seriously, for those who have not received anything from the man you would swear he doesn't like you the way he wraps shit up."

For the record, I just had to say seriously, Corey. I don't know what you're talking about.

Sorry your BA'ed IPA experience with this beer was less than stellar.....have not had too many barrel aged IPA's that were all that memorable myself :slight_frown:.....and hey, you live in the Windy City, you were expecting no winds??:stuck_out_tongue:

I don't think BA IPAs have to be a fail--I like Naughty Temple and I liked Doom. There are good ones out there, this just isn't one of them. I also did not like the thick honey mouthfeel. Felt like an attempt at grown-up cough syrup!

Just spent an hour outside at my son's school giving out goodies for their Trunk or Treat/costume parade. Supposed to be 70s in Chicago area for the start of November, but let's barely reach 40 for all the outdoor Halloween stuff. Good thing I have something to warm me up when I got home.

Another beer which stands as an example of what used to be called Burton Ale - Fuller's 1845 (6.3%). Sweet, fruity, with hints of cheerfully muted spice. A great example of the amazing things you can do with Maris Otter malt and Goldings hops.

Did you try the dark mild? One of my absolute favourite styles that I always feel shines on cask but not in bottle or can. I've never had any kegged versions (it's really unpopular here in the UK) but as long as it's keg-conditioned it could be pretty good.

Ideal vessel or no, I will always take a free pint glass especially when branded with one of my favorite beers

Samuel Adams Octoberfest after a long week of work. One of my customers gave me a free case of this on Wednesday. It's better than I remember but it's not my favorite style either. The SN one is a lot better, I can tell ya that.

This is going down just fine, however.
