Morning, BA's and happy hump day
Bought a couple of these to try and cellar
It doesn't look, smell or taste like Hefeweizen, but apparently that's what this is. Good beer though.
I can't sleep, it's cold, and the wind is howling. Maybe this will help...
Can't hurt, right? Cheers!
Good morning BAs! On the road again - didn't get a chance to post yesterday's breakfast beer:
Could the bad taste be from the stylish hotel glass? Hope so, because someone on NBS BIF #3 is going to get to try this one. Anyway, last night we had dinner and a couple of brews at Victory (Downingtown) and I got another shaker to travel with (Along with today's breakfast beer).
Incidentally, I tried the Braumeister Pils Spalt Hallertau on tap last night and I must say it is the best pilsner I've ever had!
Morning BA! Starting out the day with a Stone Cali-België IPA.
Nice to see this one out again.
Split this one with my gf last night. Yet another successful session with my Therapist.
After another long night of work, ending my 'night' with a Bourbon BBA Mayan Mocha from Odd Side Ales. Such an awesome beer if you're into some heat in your stouts (pepper heat that is). Definitely need to try to find some more of this ASAP.
7/14, still amazing
A little hot but that can good when it gets cold.
Happy Wednesday BA!!
Sixpoint Sensi 2015
My first 2015 WnB and it is spectacular. Will be buying a bunch to get me through the year.
So this doesn't quite fit the beer and books pics people have been posting of late, but still, it does reference one of my all-time favorite books...IT by Stephen King. This is really the only book that creeped me out though in the interest of full disclosure I read it when I was a kid. Still, Pennywise is one of the great literary villains and along with the Stand this is King's best book. The beer itself, Pear Bear, is really good as well. I'm not huge into sours, but this one was delicious.
Two Roads Brewing Road 2 Ruin DIPA
Good Morning. This is a Gingerbread Stout that I picked up at Costco last night.8.5 ABV.It is from Back Home Brewery in Los Angeles.Very Tasty.
Good Morning and Happy Hump Day BA's! Had a few beers last night after work while watching Divergent and the latest episode of The Flash. (ducks shoe thrown by @KarmicSkrambl8 )
can is better than the beer
thx @5EKF for this one...
finished it off with some Death By Coconut
Your screen name (Salt-n-Beer) reminds me of something my dad said many moons ago. If he had a warm, unfinished can of beer left over from the night before the next morning he would add salt to the remaining beer. He said that it now made the beer drinkable. I have never tried it for a variety of reasons (mostly because I never leave a beer unfinished).
Maybe there is some truth to it. He drank Ballentine, Schafer, and other PA and NJ beer. Perhaps those brews lend themselves to the practice?
I drank Busch Beer:
Good (?) morning, all! Fifty degrees here in the Cedar Valley, but gray, gloomy, and wet, with more storms in the forecast. A little break in the action this morning, so I thought this would be an appropriate choice:
Victory's Lager game isn't nothing to mess with! The Braumeister series is Top Notch.
It was a little on the Boozy Side....but that Barrel:Stout ratio is completely balanced. I found it severely enjoyable.
Flying Dog's India Pale Lager..It is no Bruery's Humulus Lager yet not Terrible either.
Bright Citrus and Grassy nose with a touch of that vegetable earthiness. The flavor is Citric (Tangerines/Grapefruit) and Floral (Wild Violets/Hop Vine) balanced with Malt Sugars. This finishes Clean with lingering Hop Bitterness. The feel is a little heavy for a Lager. Medium bodied with aight carbonation.
Overall: This is actually a Decent Beer. Not reaching out and grabbing higher levels of attention. Yet it's not middle of the road either. It's a beer I'd grab again and enjoy on a nice cold...autumn day . This Brew is Worthy!
Coffee. Beer. Let's do them at the same time.
The only issue is my Cup of Coffee was Less Bitter..
Rich robust roasted beans goodness. Cheers!
Semi-Fresh DirtWolf hitting that Dankness Itch.
Some isoLe for your Audio Pleasure..
This album was insanely great.
Great beer and I see you are making a flying dog jealous in the background.
Fat Tire. I was not impressed to say the least.
Hopefully next time that India Pale Lager gets on that Jack's Abby Hoponius Union's Level!
DirtWolf # 2
(2003 was such a great year in Metal).
Those in Rock Art's distro, you might want to get "down with" this one.
