This was one of the best breweries, imo, producing quality beers in NZ; can only imagine how good the Nelson Sauvin hops are in your beer...cheers!

 

Good morning BAs! There's a strange light in the sky this morning and it's warming whatever it hits! Must be aliens, legal or otherwise. Hope springs eternal which is the only reason I tried today's Breakfast Beer:



Dunno why I keep trying Shipyard after they destroyed Old Thumper - it's not even close to the real one. Since this was both "cellar aged" and "bourbon barrel aged" I have to assume, based on the lack of bourbon and barrel characteristics in both the nose and palate, that it sat around for some time in someone's cellar where they also had stored an old bourbon barrel. If this wasn't so expensive, I'd dump it, but dammit I refused to be beaten by a crappy beer.

I too have a hard time wasting beer, or food for that matter, and have rarely fed one to the sink. But I have primarily because the beer must have been infected (actually it was as confirmed by the brewery which remain nameless--but they sent me some neat hats, shirts,etc.).

 

Mornin', all! I think I could get used to this coffee-beer-as-eye-opener thing. Stouts, porters, blonde ales, it's all good.

I live in Virginia so I go to NC several times a year and make it a point to drink NC brewed craft beer while I am there. Highland is one I always get. If you get the chance, try Hoppyum IPA brewed by Foothills. It is one of my favorite IPAs.

 

This one is solid!

 

end the week/start the weekend off proper...as good as ever!

 

Great beer if it's available in your area pick it up, you won't be disappointed.
