@SammyJaxxxx - new day of beer drinking or continuing yesterday? Either way, you're my new hero.

Yes, I went there. But I'm blaming it on my eight hour fight with my first ever bottle of Darkness. That shit is thick.

I know. BA screwed up the system. Champs should obviously be first, unless this is communist America.

I'm halfway through a can of Grapefruit Sculpin. I'm still trying to finalize my "simple" Christmas dinner.

    Edit:

Good morning from this rock in the middle of the ocean y'all! Well, it's the wee hours of the morning here. Anyway, figured since I was wide awake, figured I would enjoy another Pure Hoppiness.

Yesterday, went on a nice long hike on the Wiliwilinui Ridge, took my dog with me. It was windy and muddy, but we had a lot of fun. Great work out. Saw a lot of awesome stuff too.

Afterwards, one of the bars here had Victory at Sea Day and tapped the 3 variants we got here, Peppermint, Peanut Butter, and Coconut. I'm not much of a fan of chocolate and peppermint, but I did get the others.

Good morning BA, hope you all have an enjoyable Sunday.

Going back to Ohio this weekend so I need to clear out my stash of Ohio IPAs. This is still tasting incredible! Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with some light caramel/bready malt balance and dank floral/grassy hop earthiness. Aggressive pine/citrus rind bitter, dry, and sticky finish. Always delicious! Still got a handful of White Rajah to clear out too.

This is an excellent English winter warmer. Big flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, pear, apple, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toasted biscuit, and light nutty/roast maltiness; with moderate herbal, floral, pepper, piney hop notes; with a bit of yeasty earthiness. Moderate pine/spicy bitterness; with a very smooth finish with balanced creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel. Just all around great complexity and balance of hop, yeast, and malt flavors. I look forward to aging some as well. After 2 months since my review, there already is noticeable mellowing of the hop notes. Glad I got a 6 pack and may stash away some more as well.

Great quad! Huge flavors of raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, apple, light banana, pepper, clove, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and light nutty maltiness; with some herbal hop and yeasty earthiness. Fair amount of yeast spice on the finish; with a great balance of yeast and malt flavors with no cloying sweetness. Some creaminess and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Well attenuated overall considering the ABV. Really glad I grabbed a 4 pack, this is excellent stuff for an American made Quad. Tons of complexity and great balance all around.

Incredible stuff as usual. Enormous flavor of dark roasted coffee with dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toasted dark bread, and light smoke/char maltiness; with a bit of herbal/piney hop notes. Good sized roasted coffee and piney bitter finish; creamy/silky medium-full bodied mouthfeel. Super smooth for the ABV. A real winner, glad they are available in MI again with the recent new Shelton distributor. I hope to see some of their newer releases in the future.

    Cheers!

This got released last weekend. My top album of the year right now. Prog instrumental metal.

Keeping the instrumental theme going. Best AAL album IMO, but they are all fantastic.

Good morning BAs. This is my favorite time of the week. Listening to NPR, and leisurely cooking breakfast, which is hash browns, bacon and an omelette. The beer I'm sipping on is a Dogfish Head Higher Math. I can see why there are wide ranging reviews for it. I found it extremely good. Wonderful flavor. It's a beer for special occasions and I'll be buying some more of this.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday...
