    Hey all. Happy Saturday.
Came home from my bouncing shift and starting the Saturday thread from under the covers...about to finally call it a Friday.

My mouth is all hop blasted out...you know the feeling...that tongue smacking taste bud annihilated sensation. Thanks to these guys I just finished :

Part of my first tastes of Treehouse beers from the haul I brought home on Thursday. To call these beers satisfying and worth the trip would be an understatement. Cheers and have a great weekend.

...this song @ 4 minutes is a great audio equivalent of a sip of Julius..." I'll lay in the sunnn"

I was learnin' how to make these potatoes to go with this! I have never had these and one question to always ask about any dish is how easy is it to reheat. I hear these reheat like a charm Will test that theory later. They are Swedish and they are called Hassleback Potatoes.

It's going to be a cold, windy day so my day has been compromised: No morning run or sobriety apparently. Looks like a toasty day indoors with lots of FA Cup and Chiefs playoff action.

Lightly snowing here so I'll hold off my run until later.... Maybe... Also rooting for the Chiefs, been a fan since I was around 10... not really sure where it stemmed from but whatever. If they play the Pats next weekend I'll be torn, so I'm hoping the Steelers can pull off a W vs. Cinci tonight as well and delay that (obviously, we need to beat Houston first either way). Starting with this nice single-hop brew from Green Flash and possibly digging deeper into the fridge if the snow starts to pick up

Just some light drizzle here; looks like we got a dusting of snow overnight.
I'm finishing up my Portobello burger and drinking my morning coffee. In this case that turns out to be The Jolly Woodsman, a blend of Banded Horn's two stouts with the addition of Kenyan espresso. It's a Wow!

Good morning BA, hope you all have a great Saturday! Just another day to relax for me, nothing else going on around here.

This 12/11 batch is tasting mind blowing incredible. Bright and dank hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, mango, pineapple, lemon/orange peel, and pine; with some light caramel/bready malt balance and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Aggressive pine/citrus rind bitter, dry, and sticky/resinous finish. Super glad I bought another pack before coming back home.

Awesome Black DIPA. Juicy hop flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced chocolate, cocoa, toasted dark bread, and light coffee/smoky malts. Nice sized pine/citrus rind/roasted bitter finish; with balanced hop stickiness and malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Moderately dry and delicious! My sister bought me this for Xmas, she basically asked me what I wanted and I just said Odell since I've had hardly anything from them. Wish they distributed here. Maybe someday. Maybe I should make an online order of some.

Last bottle of the Raspberries I have, wish I could have gotten way more. Thankfully Vanilla Chai Dragons milk is coming in the next month or so. This is my favorite variant overall(haven't had Triple Mash just yet). Flavors of juicy and lightly tart raspberries with big milk chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, and bourbon. Balanced bourbon/oak spiciness and light fruit tartness on the finish; with a nice creamy medium-full bodied mouthfeel. I will definitely be stocking up with this years release if I can. Same with the Chocolate/coffee version, because it's basically a poor man's KBS. Both of them also feel much more fuller bodied and robust than the base beer. Still love the base beer, but the variants are definitely better overall.

1 year old batch is tasting insane as usual. Huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toffee, toast, and light smoke/char maltiness; with subtle dark fruit/licorice notes and herbal/piney hops. Balanced bittersweet roast/char/piney finish with a full bodied creamy/silky and sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel. Super smooth sipping with minimal ABV warming and zero booziness. I can't recall the last time I actually have drank one of these fresh, but age of any caliber from 1-3 years has blown me away every time. Classic Russian Imperial stout style across the board.

One of my favorite DT instrumental breaks @ 4:13. Underrated album IMO, it was really the first prog album I fell in love with, and now I listen to all sorts of stuff.
