Much to @jzeilinger's chagrin (or was it @Greywulfken ) , pour #2 of this is really great!

By the way, I'm winning Powerball tonight, so this may be the last day I waste my day with the rest of you degenerates.
Especially @mbeerdino21 (who is remarkably MIA on page 1 of a Saturday WBAYDN) and @WesMantooth

With all the chatter about the Bourbon County Coffee and Barleywine and the statement released by Goose yesterday, I figured it's time to open one. My bottle of Coffee opened with no gushing issues, poured normally, looks fine. The aroma is coffee forward, but not overpowering. I'm getting something sweet in the background akin to maple syrup. The flavor is coffee up front, followed by some bourbon, but there is an odd dark cherry/berry taste in the finish. It's nothing gross or overbearing, just odd/different from past batches. Going off memory from the multiple pours I had at FOBAB, this beer is different. The FOBAB pours were full of dark roast and chocolate. I rated it my favorite of the entire group. While I find it drinkable, I wouldn't rate it at the top now. The more I drink it, I'm finding certain qualities that remind me of the Regal Rye, namely the berry flavor and some sweetness as well.

All said, I only have one more bottle, so I think I'll cellar it for science and curiosity. I have two Barleywine and plan to try one this weekend. Not a total loss for me, but it sucks for those that have undrinkable bottles. Disappointment aside, at least the issue is finally being addressed.

Sorry for the lengthy post, time to prepare for the winter storm headed here later today and tonight. Have a happy Wildcard Saturday!

The BA needs an updated review on the BB-aged Arrogant Bastard Ale because it shows this has been retired. I had one the other day and could not rate it. I neglected to get a picture and screwed up logging on to BA with my phone app with the verification BS. My bad. Cheers, amigo.

Yep, this is much better today. No traffic, no sense of dread after traffic. Just a coffee beer and some breakfast.

1 year old and the coffee has faded more than it had a couple months back (though that one might have stayed refrigerated the whole time. Nice coffeeish stout, then.

Cooking up some steak and eggs on a chilly wet day in NC. Sipping some BC too and debating whether or not I want to head over to Athens GA for the weekend. Why does life have to be so hard? Happy Saturday, geeks.

No you won't. But you'll have $400M because I'm winning too. Which basically means we split $800m four ways (assuming your married too).
Hey, here's a thought: Buy a house in San Diego so that you can have that "straight to the vein" access to Stone, FW and other SD beers you seeming freebase.
Oh, and you can get the hell out of those winters!

Don't forget Obama is going to take his 30%. A house in San Diego sounds awesome, maybe I could finally try the Younger! Awesome to dream.
