    Good Sunday morning. Lots of activity already, our grad student has packed up and is heading home to AL. Dogs walked, and breakfast eaten. Time for a new ( to me) beer - Lagunita's Bitter Oats:

    Will write more on NBS, but this is almost creamy with weedy, tropical fruit and lemon sponge cake flavors. Little suggestion of the 10% ABV. Delicious.

    I have to admit I do not like the new genesee labels. So generic, so modern. Reminds me of lots of other beers and has no more unique identity.

    Thanks! Yeah....it's cool to have the chickadees feed from my hand - been doing that for many years at this local metropark; sometimes, can even coax a nuthatch or titmouse to land, but that is rare....even had a downy woodpecker land on my hand once....their beaks look scary!!
