    Enjoying anew beer by a small local Brewer (though not at the brewpub). Caboose Brewing in Vienna, VA is offering this smoked Schwarzbier- Holy Smoke, a beer that balances the two "styles" fairly well in this light drinking offering:

    A very nice English Strong Ale from Bent Hill. My favorite of their beers that I've had. The ginger helps cut the malty sweetness nicely.

    Just tried Barista Chocolate Quad for the first time. Terrific beer, tastes like a chocolate covered espresso bean. Cannot wait for the other three.

    Can is cool, beer's not bad, but it tastes a whoooole lot like Karbach's kolsch Love Street ... :flushed: Karbach's standards are so high in my mind, even Karbach can no longer reach them.

    Oh, well ... maybe this requires more investigation, like a 12-pack after I've rummaged through this 6-pack.:grinning::stuck_out_tongue::grinning:
