Like it better than the grapefruit. Adds a nice sweetness to the beer.

 

No coffee this morning, but kept it roasty outside.

And then I brought an early springtime inside.

For some strange reason, I was into 90's alternative covers of 70's dance songs this morning.
From the movie So I Married an Ax Murderer. I remember liking the soundtrack more than the movie.

The short lived Johnny Depp/Gibby Haynes band, aka the band onstage at the Viper room while River Phoenix was dying outside.

I honestly don't know if I like the original or this version better.

Early Morning drink...Hanssens Ode Gueuze (fantastic), and early morning spin will be Sam Rivers Streams and Bill Evans The Paris Concerts (His last live performance)

 

A little dark roast after a good nights sleep and a sunrise dog walk. I feel this beer is slowly changing, opening up to some dark chocolate and a bit of licorice in the finish. It should be fun to revisit 6-12 months down the road. Gearing up for some fun tomorrow, need to tidy up a bit around here this morning. Thinking of heading to 18th Street's new brewery later. Cheers to Saturday fun!

I stopped at Hair of the Dog on my road trip to Canon Beach so I could pick up two of these bottles which were only for sale at the brewery itself. It was well worth the trip.

Same boat, @champ103 - my father had lots of his news photos in Chicago papers in the 60's and 70's, and I can't figure out how to take good pictures with a goddamn "smart" phone.
