Good morning BAs! Overcast day here in NW PA - looks like summer! Starting the day with this:



Kind of like Raging Bitch has a yeast infection.

 

Thornbridge Rhubarbe de Saison (Bakewell, England) - a decent enough fruity, tart saison. Not a great base saison though, with not much body, and not much funk, leaving the tartness of the rhubarb to take over and turn it into more of a fruity sour beer.

 

Ampleforth Abbey Dubbel - I'd avoid this. It's in the same vein as a Trappist Dubbel and most likely an attempt to cash in on it (it's brewed for the monks by a local brewery and given the abbey's branding) but it's pretty thin and weedy. You'd do much better even with a Westmalle for half the price.

Good Friday morning all! Today we start replacing wood siding in various places around the house. We believe inspections went well yesterday; now waiting for the punch list. Coffee anyone?

Fortunately, the last night of this misbegotten adventure ends down the street from Trillium, which may be the only thing that sees me through to the other side.

Great spring like weather again today.
