Up early as I had to drop the wife off at work.
Finishing this and trying to figure out if I want to ride this morning and hit Rare Barrel after

 

This is how we do breakfast in the P.R. Wake n Bake and a guava muffin. Cheers mofos.

 

I just can't resist the cliché of cracking one of these on Sunday morning. I like this beer but I wish it had more bourbon to go along with the rich coffee and chocolate flavor. It's like drinking a liquid brownie which isn't a bad thing. My comfort food on a cloudy and cool morning.

Moving more furniture into storage today...I ache all over from yesterday. Something new (to me) to take the edge off - 'Mud & Funk', an imperial stout aged in wine and bourbon barrels, and 11.9%:



Wine is the dominant flavor, and the finish is dry and oaky. Cheers!

 

My daughter and son inlaw were at the Avery Strong Ale Fest yesterday...I thought the lines in the east were bad ツ

The 87 was great. The peanut butter stout was pretty bad. Hardly any flavor and mouthfeel was horrible

Good morning, BAs. I usually stick to NBS on Sundays, but I felt like a coffee beer this AM, and none I had were new to me. Also wanted to chime in with my thanks to the theme day yesterday - it was fun. Specifically to @PatrickCT for promoting it, @oldn00b for being enthusiastic about it, and @tasterschoice62 (among a couple others) for keeping it going into the LNBA stages.

Anyhow, listening to an album on vinyl this AM as I sip on this:


I guess I could claim this is unofficially new to me, as the other times I have had it, it was "3 Brothers Craft Brewing." No "3" today, but just as tasty. Barrel doesn't have a huge influence, vanilla a little more, but seems fairly balanced in flavor profile to my palate. Cheers!

 

This is one of those beers I took one sip from and immediately wish I had more of. It truly tastes not only like chocolate cake, but a really, really good chocolate cake.
