A few years ago when I bought this I thought it was the greatest thing since, well, the invention of beer. Since that time, I have ventured, too much really, into the world of APAs and IPAs. I am here today to admit I was wrong. This is an ok beer but my next six pack purchase of it is probably way down the line.

Watching Iowa State vs Oklahoma right now (it's recorded). Almost at the half and Oklahoma is up by two points but I think Iowa will get it done. Cheers!

Bought the beer a few weeks ago and forgot it in the back of your car, or found a beer in the back of a car you bought a few weeks ago and forgot about said beer til now? :stuck_out_tongue:

I really hope the latter. Car salesmen need to start loading up their cars with beer as an inducement for would-be buyers. That could motivate me to buy a truly new car.

I was not going to comment but I am. I have kids 27 thru 34. I grew up in NJ and moved to VA after graduation from college (1974--you were just a twinkle in your dads eye then). Back to the point. I am glad I moved out of NJ. I do miss the pizza, however. I think the opportunities, life style, and weather here in Richmond and parts south, are much better than NJ. Of course, where is family is just as important.

As cliché as it sounds, you will do what ever is best. And it will work out.

Cheers. I hoper to hear good things about you in the future.

Enjoying an Anchor Saison after having a very trying night at my "fun money" job. Maybe I'll quit there!

    look: 4 | smell: 3 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.25

    Appearance.

Body : Pours a toasted grain/dark yellow amber color with 90% opacity.
Head : Head is fluffy, 3 fingers, super soapy.
    Retention : 1 finger.

    Aroma.

Initial : Smells of musty grain, sweat socks, yeast, apple and pear cores.
With Agitation : Add white peppercorn and baby powder.
Saisons have never been a hit for me with the aromas, but this is fairly par for the course.

    Taste.

Front : Very crispy out front with tons of lawnmower action - grass, clover leaf, straw, dead weeds.
Back : It slugs along the palate also bringing the white pepper and lemon...
Finish : ...finally ending on a fairly watered down bubble gum yeast.

    Feel.
Initial : Creamy from the jump with sharp spikes of carbonation.
    Finish : Ends semi-dry.

Overall : This isn't a bad Saison, but it's not fantastic. I could do without the copious amounts of grass/weeds before you get to the pleasant lemon and pepper flavors. The bubblegum at the end is nice. I may have it again if it's free.

I am old enough to say I watched the fight. The thrilla in Manilla was by far one of the greatest fights in history.

Nobody can guide your decision but you, but I definitely agree with the adage that if a job doesn't scare you a little bit, it probably isn't enough of a step forward.

Congrats on the offer and best of luck going forward!

Are there actually people who don't like the Zep :astonished:.
This is my second favorite song from them.
