I thought I'd take this one out behind the woodpile and have a go at it....

So my wife and son go visit her mom yesterday in Lansing. They went to the grocery store and my mom-in-law at 73 buys this for me. And I am drinking one. Thanks Becky! Cheers!

You must be feeling pretty good!

It was a little lopsided in the first half, unlucky not to be up by more!

This is not what I expected. Didn't research it at all, just threw a single in my cart.

Not terrible, but I won't spend time "savoring" it. I'm guessing now it's supposed to have the vinegar flavor.

First beer through four days of work. Let's see if moderation or excess wins out tonight.

Celebrating Three Years Beer Advocate!!!!!! took my Beautiful Gf to The Stein Haus for lunch and beer,Korbinian before 5pm sure!
Live Wire, man that IPA is so dry hopped to the max! still quite under the radar I Believe. My GF has turned ship and enjoys the ciders now vs lagers. The pulsar flavor dry yet very pleasing cider bite too. Then right on to the Celebratory beer.
    Trappistes Rochefort 10

I have seen every variation of this now for years and I have never pulled the trigger felt it was time.
complex is not even close to describe this quad, which may be my first? I would have to back log my records on here.

    Cheers , Love and Beer!

Some home brew action because my friend and fellow beer geek Kevin brewed his second batch and wanted my honest opinion on his DIPA. I can be brutally honest with people when critiquing and let them know that up front. I'd rather they know how I feel and what I think than lie, but always offer encouragement. How else does one learn?

In short, a beautiful looking beer with a great aroma and flavor of pine, grapefruit zest, and floral characteristics. It's dangerously drinkable for the ample 9 percent abv. I can't wait for batch #3!

Happy almost the end of the work week BAs. It can't get here soon enough. The weather has turned back to a cooler, more normal, temp for this time. My first beer was a Backwoods Bastard. Now up is a Wulver from Thirsty Dog. A very fine brew.

Have a good one (or two...) BAs...
