Looks like you made it to DC and you're having an old Curmudgeon? (The beer of course.) Watch out for those slimy diplomats and their immunity. Cheers! :grinning:

Truthfully, no one from the DC area can be trusted.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good day. Looking like a really active thread for a weekday. I just tapped my Centennial/Amarillo American brown ale after ~44 hours on 35 psi and it tastes AMAZING. Huge juicy grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, and pine hops; with balanced chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, and nutty toasted biscuit malts. Good amounts of pine/grassy and lightly roasted bitterness; just as awesome as the first time I made it 2 years ago. I have a good amount of self-designed recipes on my re-brew list now. The Scottish ale may be next. Onto the days reviews:

Very nice PB porter. Great head retention and spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peanut butter, caramel, toasted dark bread, and light coffee; with some herbal/floral hops. Some dark fruits in the nose at first, that faded eventually. Light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness; with a bittersweet balanced finish; nice medium bodied bready creaminess and light sticky/chalky roasted character. Lightly drying from roast/hop bitterness. The aromas were lacking a bit; but the taste was really nice, robust, and well balanced; with the PB and roasty/bready malt flavors. Malt character was very traditional for an American porter. Very drinkable. 3.88

A new WA brewery to MI, I have been grabbing all the ones I have seen. This is a damn good Brett saison(brewed with Meyer lemon and dandelion greens)! Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart lemon, lime, pear, pineapple, grapefruit, melon, green apple, white grape, pepper, hay, straw, herbal, grass, and musty funk; with very light touches of wheat/crackery malts. Light-moderate fruit tartness and yeast spiciness on the finish; very smooth and crisp light-medium body; with some sticky acidity and light grainy creaminess in the mouthfeel. Medium-high carbonation. Good sized dryness from yeast spice and fruit acidity. Extremely drinkable and refreshing. For as light as the malt character and body seem to be, this still isn't as bone dry on the finish as I expected; providing a great overall balance between the funky/fruity brett, acidic lemons, and dandelion flavors without any astringency. Zero complaints. 4

This is delicious! Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate cake, cocoa, caramel, toffee, fudge, pomegranate, dark bread, and light coffee/smoke. Lightly roasted bittersweet balanced finish; a bit above medium bodied, with a creamy/silky mouthfeel with slight chalky roasted character. Minimal dryness. Very lightly carbonated. This is a really impressive, and a very enjoyable dessert stout. Really not huge on the fruits, but still noticeable. Nice and rich but never cloyingly sweet. I really look forward to more bombers from Cranker's soon. I just got a DIPA from them last week, and already had the Old Ale which was excellent. Their brewmaster said they are redoing a lot of recipes this year, so hoping for some quality improvement soon, like these Bombers have showcased. 3.9

[IMG] Thanks @jzeilinger for this game changing Quad, wonderful brew! Yes I corked it with a wine stop on Sunday and as I let it warm on the bar the stopper just about hit the ceiling after warming up for 45 minutes. My wife who's birthday is today, was a little rattled. This has happened probably 20 times. Most corked and caged beers are worthy of a two day event and normally needs to warm for awhile for my liking and they pop sometimes. Anyone else have this happen when stopping a Big beer?

Finished my Beer to Drink Music To, so time for something special that I know I can share with the Mrs. I love that we've been arguing over the flavors on this bad mothafotha for the last half hour. And the two pack carrier is pretty sweet. That shit's going into my cellar next to the 2008 BCBS 4 pack carrier.

I want to share with y'all a video with less than ten views on YouTube (and I'm responsible for more than half of them, I think). Great song about pain and betrayal. Trust me, good sha with a beer.

Cheers BAs, drink onward and upward!
