A master food pairing
How are those chips?
Having a Bass IPA now. I actually like this. The aroma isn't too strong, but it turns out that I find it kind of refreshing (in spirit; not so much in taste) to find a beer that's quite bitter without a lot of late hopping.
Breakin' in the new glass! Thanks, crushedvol!
Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout 2011
Onward to ole reliable...
Best of the bunch, but I highly recommend being intoxicated. Goes from a hint of syrupy sweetness to a random generic fried food flavor. Sriracha was all right but not spicy at all, and the cheesy garlic bread was just terrible.
What is it?
I know I am not hard to please, so to be relative I suppose I am wowed and enjoying this New Zealand offering!
That Pinot Noir barrel cuts like a knife!
So to honor this great offering with Ulcerate from New Zealand!
I see Amarillo--don't smell it or taste it though...
About to enjoy my first ever Nugget Nectar! Here we go!
Not all tonight, of course.
Epic Hop Zombie; should have drank it last night in accordance with The Walking Dead.
Niice...interested to hear your first impressions.
Had a Sucks earlier. Now..
Buuuuh, this one immediately jumped into my top 5 DIPA, first time I had it. Now I crave it all the time. This is some seriously amazing stuff.
12.5%ABV "IPA" from South Carolina of all places.
its more of a barleywine than IPA.
The first couple of sips tell me I'm in for a wild ride
also I just killed a 19.2oz Dale's Pale Ale tall boy fresh from Brevard, NC
damn I love those
Yards Tavern Porter and watching Joe Dirt, cheers!
ISO that glass...
Drinking my last Nugget Nectar.
I reckon it is a bcbs kind of night here too.
I'm into BBBWs. Srs.
Okay at best.
I'm really enjoying it, I can see why it gets a lot of hype/acclaim. I'm not usually a huge fan of reds, but this is pretty damn good. I love the heavy resin/pine aftertaste.
Killed the remainder of a howler of Dale's Pale Ale...
Having a Coffee Eugene porter by Revolution. Goes great with my fudge walnut brownie.
Had to cleanse the palate after that Mikkeller Amarillo...
actually, this Thomas Creek IPA/Barleywine is fantastic, really enjoying it
Popped open my first Lagunitas Sucks of the year while I start up a column and have Batman Begins playing in the background.
My 3 on the menu tonight were Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel, the new Rogue Voodoo Donut Chocolate Banana PB, and currently drinking a De Dolle Stille Nacht. I really wish the Voodoo Donut was a porter or a stout with that flavor profile the ale consistency just didn't work at all. Good thing I had Stille Nacht as a backup because this is incredible
After a 12 hour day, this really hits the spot
Ska vinifera stout. Yizzum!
Hoppy Monday! Cheers!
Black note, surly darkness...
Joining the crowd, nitecapping with Bourbon County Stout.
Having my first Lagunitas Sucks this evening.....picked up two sixers at Whole Foods. Awesome beer!
