Second for the second day; up since 430AM for no good reason except routine. Turned the lights on to find my Lab sleepily eager to hang out, and the silence is a nice break from kids and outside house renovations. Weather app projections aren't agreeing with each other, but really need some period sans rain to make progress on deck/patio jobs. Until then, beers.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Looking to be another nice looking day today. Might get my bike out again. I rode 53 miles yesterday afternoon, which was basically the equivalent of kicking my own ass. But it was still pretty refreshing. This morning's beverages:

Always fantastic. Flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine hops; with some honey/bready malt balance. Moderate pine bitterness; with a crisp, sticky, and lightly creamy mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, with zero lingering hop astringency. Super smooth.

My go-to hoppy American brown ale. Flavors of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toast, dark bread, molasses, and light dark fruit; with medium herbal/grassy/pine hop flavors. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness, with a great balance of hop/malt flavors. Moderately creamy and smooth mouthfeel; with some hop stickiness as well. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness. Always love it.

Fantastic batch this year, just as delicious as the first release. Flavors of huge dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, toffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, bourbon, oak, and light dark fruit. Light roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish; with a really great balance of the coffee/cocoa, malt, and barrel flavors; along with roasted coffee bitterness/sweetness after the finish. Medium-full bodied with a great creamy/silky mouthfeel. Looking forward to the next new release. Still have plenty of vanilla Chai left too.

My last Coffee Okie. Still tasting fantastic. Flavors of nutty dark roasted coffee; with chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted bread, vanilla, cream, bourbon, oak, and light dark fruits. This has definitely mellowed out after 5-6 months. Less warming on the ABV, and also not quite as huge on the coffee as it was before(but still has plenty). I still love it as it stands now. Hope they make it again this year.

Good morning BAs! Well, it's starting off to be another sunny day here in the web of Michigan's mitten and we head for home in about three hours, after Mrs. Lizard gets up. Being part rooster, I wake up with the sun, so I'm packed and ready to leave. Today's new breakfast beer isn't what I was going to have: The can of Raja foamed out in the sink. so today we have a poor substitute:

Really just mediocre, no pine just resin. Not even going to post this on NBS - I'll find something when we get home.

Upset with myself for not trying this beer earlier. Absolutely delicious. I should have bought more bottles.

6:50. I swear the three year old has a setting on her internal alarm clock called "kill daddy".
Here's another song with "light" in the title, as there have already been two.
