Greetings! My first beverage is a Sumatra MountIan for the morning coffee. Just finished cleaning the grill. I have a beef roast that will be cooked low and slow and hickory smoked today. Marinated it overnight with Expedition stout, soy sauce, oil, garlic, and lime juice. Need to make a rub next. I hope this all turns out OK. It's fun to experiment anyway.

It's already getting damn hot, going to be a scorcher today. Stay hydrated :sunglasses: BAs....

Good morning, BA's. It's a beautiful morning at the Jersey Shore. I just finished some cherry sticky buns and am washing them down with an Old Raspy. First one in quite awhile. Delicious!

He did a quick hit and run, it appears, right around site crash time. So maybe he hasn't forgotten us, yet .

Hey again, BA's! Now a bit after 11 here in less-cloudy NOVA & I'm still taking it easy:

@cjgiant - just to clear up any confusion, yes, I was definitely agreeing with you re: FD Berliner & Cayuga Cruiser. Although, I'll admit I'm going from memory as well :slight_smile:

    Tunes:

I think Harold Land is one of the better lesser-known Tenor Saxophonists. Most folk only know him (barely) from his time with the tragically short-lived Clifford Brown Quintet.

As always- Drink up & drink on, my fellow advocates!

I did a double-take looking at that pic. At first glance, the tiny tulip appeared to be hovering above the larger one :grimacing::wink::slight_smile:

    Good Morning BA.

Hope everybody is having a wonderful day so far. Got the laundry done, went for a nice walk with my boy, now it's time to clean up around the apt. and then head out for a bike ride to the Farmers Market. A little beer first will help motivate me.

    Cheers.

Slept in again (I think I like this cooler weather). The dog has been walked, so on to breakfast. I got this bottle at the brewery following the tour yesterday-Lagunitas' 'Imperial Stout', 9.9% and $4.99 a bomber, big and delicious-what's not to like?

Lagunitas gives a great tour of the brewery, inside and out, and the guide is both informative and fun.

And the barrels from which we ultimately get the High Westified Imperial Stout:

I hope to hit another brewery today before we leave tomorrow and start driving to Idaho for my younger brother's 55th birthday party. Cheers from Petaluma!

Gym done, and trimmed a few branches off a tree (I didn't like the way they were looking at me the other night on the deck). To me, that constitutes "yard work", so a nice post-yard work beer is in order.

Having this beer again in this lovely glass. I wonder if we'll be saying Cayuga tastes like that Flying Dog beer next time we try it @MUTINY ?

Nice song. Found some of his tunes in Amazon Prime and added them to my jazz playlists. Thanks for the tip!

Clearly, a meet-up/tasting is in order so that we can settle this lingering issue once & for all :grinning:
Not to mention I still have that Omnipollo IPA for you...although at this point it may have aged to the degree that it might only be worth drinking for scientific purposes.:stuck_out_tongue::slight_smile:
