OK...good morning BA's. I'm clearly getting too old to have a more than full time job, be a full time parent/ short order chef/ house maid, host to the neighborhood biergarage , and still be in a punk rock band ! Stop complaining Lingenbrau, you've got it great!!! I do, so it's time to shut up and segue to another feather in the hat... the Glass of the Day Awards!

GotD: Sharing is caring. Rarely, in fact never, would you see a coveted glass be donated for someone else's artistic expression, but that is what separates one BA from the rest of us (or at least myself). For one of the best GotD's to date, cheers and congrats to Alyssa for her hand painted Scottish Thistle via @dcotom .
2nd: One of the lesser appreciated of the Trappists ale makers (granted, they have only been able to make a name for themselves for less than 20 years), @lordofthewiens displayed a simple and wonderful Achel chalice.
3rd: For the second week in a row, the Staff has agreed to honor a stein a day late and a dollar short. Hey, it's not @Tripel_Threat 's fault he couldn't get his act together in time!

Honorable mentions go out to @tasterschoice62 for probably the weirdest vessel I have ever seen (oh please click the link !), and to @nicholas2121 for finding his way off the reservation, yet still unable to stray too far by using another fine Connecticut exclusive BL glass.

Gloomy day here on the NE coast of SC, thought I'd brighten it up with a lunchtime beer.

Since yesterday was my bday, my awesome/smart/beautiful wife made some shrimp and grits for dinner. Washed it down with some of the best root beer I've ever had.


Got a box of beer from a friend yesterday, had one of the beers inside after dinner. This was on the new beer fridge my wife and father-in-law got me.

It may be Tuesday, but it's my Saturday! Starting off with this bad boy, and it's my first time having it...



This stuff is unbelievable! Maple syrup, coffee, vanilla, a hint of chocolate, and a bit of smoke make this a delicious, beautiful, and complex breakfast stout.

Almost as complex as Matt Halpern and the rest of Periphery...almost...

 

Yay! Another drummer!(?) I'll see your Matt Halpern, and raise you with Converge's Ben Koller. A bit more raw, but Holy S what this guy can do with this little of a set! Plus, amazing POV footage. Cheers!

 

A midday beer after running errands that included dropping a box at Fed Ex. I'm going to sit a spell with this beer then cut the grass. Another unseasonably warm day along the southern shore. Cheers gang!
