The last Pompeii in the fridge. It's about 5 weeks out and it's still drinking like a champ. I haven't spun this guy in a while.

 

Cellar pull ET and this year's version from DFH.


Splitting them with the GF. The L'il B is about 15 months old, most in cellar, couple in fridge. Initially thoughts are huge prune, raisin, and a strong alcohol presence.

Punkin Ale just doesn't do it for me. Think the bittering neutralizes the malt and spice to me, sorta similar to how I felt about Oaktoberfest. Oh, well! Time to grab more Schlafly .

 

#2, this is traveshamockery good. The cocoa nibs raises this a half-dozen notches.

What can I say? We got a couple, two, tree good peppa' recipes around here! I know a guy who knows a guy.

 

I'll see what I can do this year. If there's not enough pepperoncinos I have a lot of pepper mash going for hot sauces, so there's that.

 

A a whisky drinking friend was cleaning out his party fridge and brought me some beers. This bad boy is a senior citizen and is being put to rest now. It is super bitter with very little sweetness. It did not age well.

Pyramid Peak porter at Aspen Brewing after having dinner at a really good Italian restaurant. Walked over earlier to the John Denver Sanctuary on the outskirts of town. I was never a fan of his music, but this place is absolutely beautiful and inspirational.







Gardens, ponds, streams and inspirational quotes along meandering paths. I've been coming here for years and I'm ashamed to admit I never checked it out until today. It's definitely worth a look if you're visiting Aspen.

 

Well I am sure it won't mess up your FF karma so I'll let it slide. If it makes you feel any better I'm drinking a super bitter beer and picked the Bengals in my Eliminator pool.
