Good morning BA, have a great Sunday!

Amazing as usual! Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange peel, and pine hops; with some light honey/biscuity malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, balanced grainy creaminess and hop stickiness in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous and never astringent. Increasingly drying finish. Super juicy stuff. Damn, I really need to go grab another 4 pack, this is fantastic.


Incredible again this year. Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, cream, nutmeg, chile pepper, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and toasted brown bread. Light roast/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied; great creamy/silky mouthfeel with some light sticky/chalky roast/spice notes as well. Lightly drying. Zero pepper heat. Balance is pretty much perfect between spices and stout flavors. Glad I grabbed a full 6er this year for once, will not be my only one.


Amazing Doppelbock! Flavors of huge chocolate, caramel, toffee, raisin, brown bread, molasses, vanilla, coconut, toasted oak, and bourbon. Light roast bitterness and tannic oak spice on the finish balances the sweetness perfectly. Some increasing dryness from bourbon/oak spice as well. Medium-full bodied; lots of bready creaminess and lightly slick/syrupy in the mouthfeel. Warming but not boozy finish, 2015 batch was 13%. 2016 batch just landed last week, will definitely grab a few more to cellar! This has aged awesome over the last year.


Free beer! One of my store friends gave me this last week. Been sitting on the shelf for a while. This is a great saison! Flavors of big lemon, orange, melon, pear, apple, white grape, peppercorn, and pine; with some honey, light caramel, toasted bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy, and light funky yeast notes. Big spicy yeast and light herbal bitterness on the finish. Super high carbonation and crisp/dry finish; balanced grainy/creamy malt and hop/yeast stickiness in the mouthfeel. Refreshing with great balance between earthy hops and yeast character. The level of carbonation is completely insane though, but it works well with the style.

I'm back from my night shift and hungry and thirsty. A very good friend gave me some Bissell brothers LUX canned 10/12. I'm a big fan of this Rye IPA. Dank, tropical and very tasty for a 5.1% beer.

Pairing it with Pork short ribs slow cooked with Korean marinade and chipotle.
Here's a pic from a stream nearby for all you single or double season dwellers.
