I exaggerate for effect of course, but they do deserve much more recognition than they get. They weren't controversial so they are considered boring. Much the same way Mark Knopfler never gets mentioned with Clapton and Hendrix. Cheers sir!

 

Maybe my favorite from Night Shift. Not too light, not too heavy. Seriously crushable.

 

The 2011 vintage was fantastic. That brewery is somehow under the radar with all the other greats in Belgium.

I love Crooked Stave. I haven't had that one. How was it?

Transient Honeystone DIPA with honey and hopped with Mosaic and El Dorado. Picked this up today after work. One day fresh! One of the smoothest and drinkable 8% beers I've ever had. The honey adds sweetness and balance to the beer, but it never gets cloying. Very little bitterness and just all dank, fruity hop juice. These guys are killing it with NE style hops in Michigan.

 

Ok, dude, don't take this the wrong way, but you (and your bride) are way too good looking to be hanging around us drunks.

 

I was told it was stout season

 

I can see you are developing into one of my proteges.
Dudes, just an observer today and tomorrow but good news as the back surgery went well (took a little longer since ther were multiple disc fragments impinging on the nerves ) but net-net all went as planned and am home recovering now.
