Definitely my favorite seasonal from Rogue
Wish I could get this more often than every 2 years. Luckily the wife knows I love this beer as it was probably my first big craft beer I had so she ok'd the 3-5 bottle purchase tomorrow:slight_smile:

What exactly is that bullet thing in the pic? Excuse my ignorance but I've never seen one

It's a bottle opener made from a .50 BMG round.

Just finished a NB Rampant. Now, I'm having a SN Kellerweis. Both firsts for me.

A creamy espresso taste that's not overbearing. Bittersweet. Tastes more like a milk stout.

Did you read the label on the SN before your poured? I failed to do so the first time I tried it and rinsed the sediment out of the bottle, leaving behind a very anemic Kellerweis.

Baha. Show me to the barrel store, won't you? I could use a couple of new ones, myself.

Yeah? Is it holding up well? I still have a bottle that I've been hanging onto. That, and bottles of Triple Perfection and Biere de Mars, batch 3 (I believe).

When this beer was fresh (circa last July-Aug), it had notes of toasted coconut and almonds, which I guess comes from the barrel. As of the latest tasting, those notes were gone. I was still able to pick up the bourbon in the nose, and overall it is still a fantastic beer to drink. Cheers!
