Maplewood Brewing Juice Pants IPA. Much older at 5 1/2 weeks then I expected when I saw it at a beer store in Chicago today. Oh well, still a pretty solid beer for the age. Bet this was pretty damn good fresh. Cheers BA!

The turkeys came out just about perfect. My wife came home and shamed me into doing a 30 minute HIIT leg workout. After the workout I ate turkey while picking it for lunches this week. Now for some carbs!

So is Getty Lee of Rush, so pretty cool. He's a wine geek though.

Another cellar pull. I have done a pretty good job of thinning it over the past year. At one point I had over 400 bottles, but O would guess it is well under 200 now.
This is about the furthest out I have had this one so far.
Bottled 4/16/15. Hard to argue it is anything but an American Barleywine now, but a hoppy one. Always as much barrel flavor as any other beer. I would say it jumps out even more now. Like chewing on oak staves. Had one at 2 years yet @cjgiant? I have 2 left.

G' evening BA's and Happy New Year!
Picked up the family at the airport on New Year's Eve day had to bring something to do while I waited for them to land
    [IMG]
So Hag, latest issue of BA and a Beer For Breakfast had to do! :grinning:
Once I got them picked up we drove to the Mellow Mushroom for lunch
    [IMG]
I had the Loaded Potato Pie and the fam shared a cheese pizza. I had a Big Top Raspberry Berliner Weisse, which wasn't too bad.

Got them home and unloaded the suitcases...and @jzeilinger sent some PA goodies down to me!
So of course those 2 County Line IPAs on NYE[IMG]

So right now I'm sipping on this 90 Minute, a beer I am not a huge fan of at all, but I keep trying it, this one isn't that bad!
10 weeks old and it's still pretty hoppy! Usually this beer is too malty for me, but this is quite good! Either way I don't care, because the 4 pack I got the other day had only one 90 and 3 Burton Baton's in it!!:sunglasses:
Finally saw Rogue One yesterday and definitely want to see it again! I enjoyed it a little more than The Force Awakens! A really well done movie!
    Well, back to work tomorrow!

    Cheers!

Gonna watch some hockey and sip a few brews. I have been saving a few of these but I need to drink them before they get too old. I hope they come back to town soon.

Good evening BA, hope everyone is enjoying the last of the holiday time off. Back to work for me tomorrow, but thankfully all of the meetings got moved forward to later in the morning. I normally have 7 AM meetings on Tuesdays.

    New beer reviews:

Another Nebraskan local from @The-Adjunct-Hippie. This was pretty good. Gusher can on opening, lost a bit, but most made it in the glass. Aromas were way too yeasty and fruity; some roast and earthy hop notes; with raisin, plum, and apples. Flavors were better: dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, toasted dark bread, and light nutty/smokey malts; with some herbal hops. Light-moderate herbal hop and roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; nice bready creaminess in the mouthfeel; light chalky roast and sticky hops. Lightly drying. Other than the really weak/off aromas, the flavors were really good and I really enjoyed it. 3.66

This was an excellent IPA! Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, guava, grapefruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with some moderate bready/light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied; moderately sticky/resinous mouthfeel, with a fair amount of grainy/bready malt balance. Moderate increasing resin dryness, zero lingering hop astringency. Super bright and dank on hops across the board! Just enough malt for bitterness balance. Very drinkable and I absolutely love the hop profile! Very nice surprise for me, vs what everyone else said on the ratings. 4.1
    [IMG]

This was an excellent session sour! Aromas and flavors of big tart/tangy blood oranges, lemon, lime, grapefruit, berries, guava, green apple, mango, melon, white grape, hay, straw, and pepper; with some wheat/crackery malts; and light notes of white wine vinegar, salt, and funk. Moderate fruit/lactic tart/sourness on the finish. Medium bodied with medium-high carbonation; balanced acidity and grainy wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing acidic dryness; never puckering or astringent on sourness. Highly refreshing and very flavorful for 3.25%. Loved it! 4.15

    Marble's Brett IPA.

A local store was gracious enough to age this one for a year and knock the price down a couple bucks, so grabbed myself a bottle earlier. Fresh this was really good but not necessarily a standout for the style. Now with a year on it is absolutely spectactular, perhaps one of the very best wild ales I have tried. Loaded with ruby red grapefruit doused in sugar, funk and wine barrel. I am going to finish this bottle before I finish with this post.
