It was not my intention to make a Rochefort promotion tonigit, but I just happened to have a Rochefort 10

So, again. This is the same beer as number 6 and 8 (Numbers 6,8,10 revering to an old measurement of alcohol in beers) . Right guess when you think of a tiny bit more alcohol (11.3% ABV). Widely available in NW Europe for as far as I know.

To my taste Rochefort levels up (an beyond) compared to Sint Bernardus (Watou) and Westvleteren. When you find one; the official 'best before date' is 5 year after. Probably keeps for many more years of-course.
    Cheers!

This would have been a perfect time for you to use; "Says the guy not even drinking a beer!"

In 2016 I would have said that. In 2017 I am trying to be less of a snark.:grinning: :rolling_eyes:
I sense it won't last long so take advantage now while you can. :sunglasses::wink:

I'm sure it is stale by now. Probably 3 days old.

I received a four pack of this as a Christmas gift. I had the regular years back, but never the nitro version. Super easy drinking for 10.2% but the nitro kills the robust flavor. Chug a buzz! All the time spent in Colorado over the years and I don't own a Left Hand Glass. I guess that's telling enough?

Thanks for the assessment. I see that one as a bomber for 8 bucks and was going to pick it up tomorrow. Not worth it according to your review if I read it correctly OR if a chug a buzz is worth it I guess I might take the plunge.

Cold, rainy, miserable day outside so I am happy to be back at work :astonished::rolling_eyes:???

What...wait...no... this working stuff is a serious impediment to BA-ing...

Not drinking at the office (as much as it seems a requirement some days), but want to chat up some great customer service. Had a can of Lost Nation Gose explode in my beer cabinet - not sure when, but it had gone Old Faithful all over the cabinet and broke a couple of glasses. Weird - I thought I could smell beer but figured it was from empties in the kitchen. Went to get a can of dog food out of the cabinet and it was adhered to the shelf like glue (strong stuff, as Elwood might say). Everything still looked OK, so it was a WTF did we spill moment...then I poked around the 12 or so beer cans above the hound chow and found the one can with the top exploded off and empty, two broken glasses apparently due to the explosion-let. No big deal, a little clean up and inventory down a pint. Sent LN a message with the code date and what info I could remember about where I purchased the beer via Facebook and got a response today offering to replace the entire four pack (one remaining) and the glasses. Discovered this on Saturday and it's now Tuesday, so given the holiday a great response time and a much more than adequate response.

We're generally quick to bitch about things, but I figure we should be equally quick to praise the good things that happen. With my work, I am often on the receiving end of these things and they can be extremely unpleasant. I always approach this professionally - assuming the company would want the information they need to code trace and get to the bottom of things. LN informed me that these cans were not filled on their own equipment, but they have since installed their own canning line so have much better quality control in place. Not sure whether the seam was bad or what happened - the other can left from the eight I had seemed fine. I am slightly mystified how a can could have enough built up enough pressure to rip the top off completely, but it did. I know the six I actually drank were fine. I had to quickly sample No. 8 extensively and exhaustively to make sure it was OK...sacrifice made for the sake of science, ya know.

Hopefully be joining ya'll with a beer later tonight. If not, keep up the good work!

I don't normally complain about the weather but rain and wind isn't a pleasant combination. I'd rather just have snow. Anyway, getting a soup started.
