Starting the day with Sue:
Have a great Friday y'all!
This great beer finally finds its way to France! Great dessert!
pFriem Family Brewers • Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout
Hopefully it will find its way to Italy also! Great pic!
Happy Friday, advocates! Think I should be awake after all this.
Good Morning, BA! This is not bad... worth trying anyway.
At least it has coffee in it!
*from my first show...
GOOD MORNING ALL !!
2 1/2,hours sleep prior to getting the kids up and off to school .. ughhh
My neck is killing me, so I'm having this FRIS Stout and going to lie back down and try to catch a couple more hours of shut eye .
Hope you all have a great day and catch you all on the rebound
Jimi wishing you much ❤
Good Morning and Happy Friday BA!!
This was pretty damn tasty!
Drinking Lagunitas Imperial Stout
Listening to The Mahavishnu Orchestra - The Inner Mounting Flame
Great musical share ❤
I thoroughly enjoyed watching that ..
Where was that and about what year ?
I assume that was near the end of Jerrys life
The last time I saw them was around 1982 in Philly . Man time flys bye .Good times for sure
Nice sunrise shot! And drinking well too - cheers!
And OK Computer
Brother, you've got the life down there in the Sunshine state
If gambling had passed the first time in Florida, back in the mid 90's, I might have been your neighbor.
By the time it went through my kids had already started school here and we didn't want to relocate.
Maybe one day
Yours is the second post this week that included an Outfield song. They and Journey were my favorite bands when I was much much younger. Maybe I should not be afraid of posting their stuff if other people are. Thanks for helping me get in touch with my inner @vabeerguy in this confessional known as What Beer Are You Drinking Now. Cheers!
Man, what a difference from last Friday, when it was in the 60's....ah well, back to winter reality I suppose
Going to go look at yet another bargain sailboat tomorrow; this one for the big price of Zero! Yep, a dude offered me this 19 ft fiberglass mini-cruiser for free as it needs some work....well, duh, I think it warrants a look-see! It is an English built twin keeler called an Alacrity....cool little ocean going mini-cruiser, several of these boats have crossed the Atlantic, believe it or not!
On to some morning beer!
An Alacrity 19....mine will likely not look this good!
cool tiny cabin
Sun is just starting to peak out. The rosters are out so why not enjoy a Stunt Cock
BrewDog: Santa Paws
Been slacking I know but that's the last of my Christmas beers finished for another year! (Got a few cans of Xocoveza left, but that doesn't count. I'd drink it year round if I could!)
Drinking with purpose today - using last 2016 vacation day, brewing and it's Mozart's birthday.
Have a great weekend.
Finally - a day off after working 12 in a row - a good sofa day -
Shit. I forgot to get him something.
Starting the day with an an old favorite. Cheers!
Well done on both fronts, sir.....
Good morning and Happy Friday BA's! Well, I've been learning a lot lately. For one, 60 mph winds and wooden fences don't like each other...still ! And two, good thing I have a reliable Staff to keep me on track. Maybe I'm becoming a typical complacent worker. Maybe I've been too distracted. Maybe I should just stop and get on with the Glass of the Day Awards!
GotD: I guess my statement about winning his first of 2017 lit a spark under @dcotom . Cheers and congrats for the second day in a row, this time for this silver rimmed and trimmed fish bowl of a tulip. Or is it a squished thistle ?
2nd: It's been awhile since we've seen @stephens101 up at the podium, but this is quite the gold-rimmed Boulevard chalice. It's a verrrry nice!
3rd: Might as well keep with the theme. Out to @SawDog505 for this gold rimmed gem, and the nice assist yesterday !
Honorable mentions go out to to a couple of well used vessels. First, @Barracudas for his Ocelot IPA glass, and to @Premo88 for an extra voluptuous weizen glass.
Cheers everyone, and I will see you all soon!
a friend of mine did a commercial shoot at the brewery and was able to get ahold of this -
and graciously gave it to me - Cheers to Ben !
Good afternoon all !
To start the weekend, a nice tripel from Oedipus brewery - Amsterdam
Great beer Maria....hope to pick some of this up this weekend! Love me some bocks!
Absolutely brilliant color on this, the pic does no justice. Cheers!
Finishing off what's left of the twelver I picked up yesterday:
Have a great weekend.
With all the not so serious matters behind me for today, it's time to get serious! This latest barrel aged gem from Greenbush can run with the best of style in my opinion. The price isn't for the faint of heart at $24 a four pack, but I don't plan on dying a millionaire. My phone is acting strange today on the site deleting parts of my post and getting jumpy. I hope it doesn't melt down on me.
Cheers to Friday!
I don't do proper glassware with this one nearly enough.
Mid 80's MOR rock.
What goes with lunch . . .
look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4
Light brown with orange tint, tan cap with moderate lacing.
Aroma is rich, caramel toffee malt with a covering layer of fresh yeast bread.
Taste is straight forward darker malt without roasty bitterness. Not complex but flavor aplenty like a well made brownie. Sweetness is restrained giving more a sense of sweet without really tasting sweet. Entry is clean, rich dark malt which flavor sustains throughout. Hops are present but way in the background. Clean quick finish which carries a bit of breadyness into the aftertaste.
Medium body without any heaviness.
Overall it's a winner. The more Bells I try the more impressed I am with their consistent level of competency. They know how to design and make quality stuff. Brown Ale, like a grey business suit, isn't a flashy style but is always acceptably correct. My real test when approaching a new beer is whether I would buy more and this is one I would buy by the case.
I see your Sue and I'll raise one to ya!
