    It's still stout and barleywine season due the ridiculously cold march weather here in Chicago. Enjoying Squatters Outer Darkness from Utah Brewers Cooperative courtesy of Oboogie. A very tasty, solid RIS. Very enjoyable!

    Westbrook Shane's Big DIPA. This stuff is seriously fresh, smelled like fresh cut grass when I opened the bottle. One of my favorite DIPAs right now.

    Tonight's newbies:

    Wasn't expecting much after picking this single up randomly. One of the best brown ales I have ever had hands down. So robust with a great creamy mouthfeel. This is going on the "clone brew this" list.

    Damn good Schwarzbier! I remember being a fan of the doppelbock these guys made. This is lagered just as well. Hardly any lager fruity esters present with plenty of roast, dark chocolate, and coffee with some nice robustness.

    WOW, the aromas and flavors on this beer are two different beasts. Smells like an Xmas stout; tastes like a heavy spiced Belgian stout. I am going to have to finish the review for final thoughts, but I think I'm a fan of this. We'll see. I might have to buy some cellarables of this one to tone down the spices.

    Severely underrated beer! It may be one of the chunkiest beers out there, but dammit is it a great beer for the $
