    Everyone sleeping in?
A dusting of snow overnight. Crappy month of March so far; I hope it goes out like a lamb.
Breakfast time, then some cooking, then a lot of basketball.

Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! I ended up waking up really early and couldn't get back to sleep. Got bored and discovered how ridiculously easy it is to upload beer photos with the photo resizing site they link. Never used it until now. Since I take really consistently framed photos of all of my beers, I just started going through my review list and ended up adding 80-90 to the site. Easy to just crop the bottle/can out. Still have tons more I can do, but I will do it some other time I am bored again. Be assured that all beers I review will have a label photo from now on. Another usual Sunday of bottle returns, laundry, and catching up on work for tomorrow.

Insane DIPA as always. Finally found a fresh 4 pack last week. Bright hop flavors of lemon, orange, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with light honey, bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine resin/spicy bitterness. Balanced sticky/resinous hops and creamy/grainy malts in the mouthfeel. Increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Highly drinkable and pretty crisp finishing. One of my top favorite DIPAs when fresh, just wish fresh packs were easier to find more often. Seems to only be every 6 months or so around here. Very juicy/dank on hop characteristics and not overly resinous, just the right amount. Mosaic hops are the best, this might be the first one I had with them included. Reviewed it in 2013.

Still tasting amazing. Flavors of coconut, vanilla, spiced rum, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, oak, and light molasses/coffee. Light roast bitterness and rum/oak spice on the finish. Full-ish bodied and nicely creamy/silky in the mouthfeel; with some light sticky/chalky roast, and a touch of roasted dryness. Lightly warming finish; no barrel booziness at all. Very smooth, rich, and complex. Lots of coconut and rum, but still very well balanced with the base beer. Glad I bought a lot of these, still plenty left. Probably my favorite variant they released so far. Luckily ended up getting 1 triple mash from one of my main stores last week, will have to check it out soon. Next release is going to be Mexican Spice Cake. Just got label approval last month. Will definitely be stocking up. Love pepper stouts.

Outstanding quad! Glad these are year round and 4 packs now. Flavors of raisin, plum, fig, date, lightly tart cherry, apple, pepper, clove, brown sugar, brown bread, toffee, vanilla, toasted oak, bourbon, coconut, and yeast earthiness. Moderate peppery yeast/oak spice and light fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium-full bodied. Creamy/grainy with slight slick/syrupy notes in the mouthfeel; but still ending nicely crisp and drying from carbonation. Awesome barrel balance, with great well rounded complexity from yeast and malts. Very smooth sipping, mildly warming 11.9%. I really should buy a full 4 pack soon, I keep buying more singles every single week. Great price. Hoping to see Sixth Glass 4 packs around here soon as well.

Got my KBS this week, but going for a 2016 this morning. Tasting insane as it was last year, probably the best batch of recent memory(6 year span since I first tried one). Will have to compare to this year. Flavors of big nutty dark roasted coffee, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, molasses, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, toasted oak, and coconut; hint of smoke. Bittersweet roast and lightly spicy oak/bourbon finish; with a creamy/silky/velvety full body, touch of chalky roasted dryness. Minimal warming 12.4%. Pretty much perfectly balanced between coffee, malt, and barrel character. This definitely takes me back to memories of having my first KBS. Mind blowing delicious. Might have to update this review, though the score might not change much. Been 5 years since I wrote it.
