Good morning BAs. Another great day. So much great that I decided to drive up north to the sea.

Chti Blonde. Chtis refer to an inhabitant of Northern France... Cheers

Good morning BAs! Today's New Breakfast Beer turns out to be one I have previously tried. Oh well, that's just the Alzheimer's kicking in.

Going to pick up some dish washing detergent so I can get my snifter clean.

Feeding the fish and drinking a Stump Knocker pale ale this morning:

I plan on hitting up at least one of my old favorite bottle shops today. Cheers!

I found this hazy IPA in a local beer store. It's The Haze Is Real from Local Craft Beer in Tehachapi, and was bottled yesterday.

Good morning, BAs! As they're packing out the upstairs, I'm chilling downstairs with some headphones, my piano, and some beer.

Wow this is a really rich and full flavored stout. Barrel aged for 6 months in a combination of Bourbon, retired Firestone Union and wine barrels and infused with fair-trade, organic coffee from local roaster Jobella. Tasting mighty fine right now. This beer goes out to my grandma who loved hummingbirds and just recently passed. Cheers!

Leaving for vacation in the morning to take the kiddos to Disney for their first time. Fighting the crazy spring break crowds is not going to be any fun, but the kids will have enjoy their time while the mrs. & I enjoy the weather.

For now, I need to finish up packing so I cracked open a cold one!

    Cheers!

Like @mschrei said, the forecast here in Illinois is rainy and cold.

This is earliest I've ever posted in this thread, as I'm often envious of you all that have great starts to your days.

I received some excellent advice from here on buying and acquiring Belgians. This is a tasty, full start to a gray Thursday.

    Cheers, BAs!

Double Nickel Brick Face Imperial Red IPA
    10% alcohol. From Pennsauken, NJ

I would bet money there is mosaic in this if not the only hop you'd think. Straight up creamy mango and pine. Very sticky beer. You get some alcohol bite but the texture is just amazing. I'm loving these NJ brewers pumping great stuff out so far this year please keep it up. And double nickels line up is outstanding. Heads up, they are all unpasteurized though so keep it cold. If you guys hear me, I love you. Cheers.

Another cool and rainy day along the southern shore. Oh what to do? I'll start with one of my few remaining bottles of this fine liquid! The coffee is starting to fade revealing a dark chocolate profile which is alright by me. I have a small mountain of beer glasses in the bar sink waiting to be washed. I guess I'll make good use of my time as I drink this!

    Score 3.68
    look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Light lemon yellow color with nice white cap and good lace.

Nose is slightly spicy, with a bit of yeasty french bread. Hint of clove, or that might be in my imagination because I look for that sort of thing in a Belgian.

On entry I get pastry flavored with a mild lemon in the way of a lemon tart without the tart. Mid palate I get muted spice blended with the tart and this lasts to the finish. Aftertaste brings a surprising sweetness to cap off the tartness. I suspect there are hops in there but they're darned well hidden.

Medium creamy texture balanced with carbonation.

Overall it's a light, bright, tasty little trifle worthy of a smile. Sprightly in an almost airy way wafting on an early Summer breeze. Pair this with food or delightful on it's own.

    Happy Thursday BAs

Tree House Sap for lunch! So the guy I got this from was like "Hey listen Sap isn't like other Tree House beers. It's not a juice bomb. It is piney and therefore not as popular. I just thought you should know this before trying Sap". That about sums up where we are at in the IPA game right about now! If it doesn't look like OJ, smell like OJ or taste like OJ then it isn't worth hype. I disagree and am putting Sap on my hype train with the likes of Resin and others! It is a perfect old school piney NWIPA.

    Cheers BAs
