Got an 8 lb pork shoulder going in the smoker, and enjoying what is looking to be the last weekend with our old girl. They gave her 1-2 months, and she gave them the middle finger (counting the dew claw) and is over 3 months in with her lung tumor.
A beautiful day to open one of these and break out my super limited edition mug

Happy Sunday, BAs! I'm in spring break mode for the following week, so you'll be seeing more of me on here than usual (for better or for, uh, worse). Staying in Cocoa Beach, and the plan was to drink Florida beers exclusively...but then I was paid a visit from the Trill genie, and this happened.

Just had this bad boy for breakfast and dropped off some more beer mail at FedEx.

Anyone finding themselves in the Akron/Cuyahoga Falls area, hit up the Blue Door for a slightly higher end but gut busting breakfast. Dunno what it is about our area but breakfast (and drive-in) is where it's at as far as food goes--I could recommend plenty of Akron diners and dives for breakfast as well.

Anyway, weather's pushing 40 degrees warmer than it wasFriday, so, back to the light refreshing brews after returning home.

Thank you, and @Lingenbrau was lovingly referred to as "the latter" in my post, but I'll give him an extra congratulations here, too. Especially if it helps me win another GotD some day .

More artsy-fartsy pics and blathering from yours truly over in NBS...
But for you drinkers of the now, a limited edition quiz!

How did the Barbary Coast get its name?

    a) Legendary elephant, Babar, was born there...

    b) The evolutionary common ancestor to modern-day barbers can be traced to that region...

    c) It's where barbarians, like Conan, went on adventures...

    d) It is where the Berber people originated, known for their baby-like appearance...

    e) San Franciscans in the 1800's named their red-light district after the eponymous North African coastal region infamous for slave trading and piracy... :grimacing:

    Need a hint?

--> For the correct answer, click the link...

    Cheers, BA...

A Stone Cali - Belgique, also from their Berlin location. Nice IPA, but to my taste not special compared to most of their other brews.
    Cheers!
