    Good Friday Morning BA
I'm opening my first homebrewed ESB this morning at three weeks in the bottle. The Maris Otter & Crystal malts are strong with this one.

I find it odd that I can purchase Grolsch flip tops, full of beer, on sale, at the grocery, cheaper than I can buy flip top bottles from any homebrew store. I'm cheap and easily amused. Drink well Advocates

Jumping on the KBS train. What a Good Friday it is! Fantastic stuff. My local big grocer broke the 4 packs apart and sold singles for $4.99. I remember someone in NY on here paid $10-$12 for a single. Feel like I got a solid deal.

Hoping to at least occasionally join in the fun once again soon. Been fighting a massive cold - as the doctor said "Oh...you have the cough that won't go away" and I am SOOOOO glad I could provide him with some amusement in his life. Have had the attention span of a gnat so I haven't even been keeping up with the hit parade of awesomeness here and have missed three New Beer Sundays in a row...

Lunch on the fly while meal planning for later this looked interesting . . .

    Score 3.74
    look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.75 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Hazy, light gold appearance with disappearing white cap and moderate lacing.

Light, clean scent of citrusy spice with a touch of banana. Some yeasty bread in the background.

Taste is moderately tart on entry followed by spicy banana and something that feels both floral and citrus, but not too much.

    Light-medium texture balanced by carbonation.

Overall it's a pleasant lunch time drink that doesn't overpower the dish.

I drink a ton of Redbird during Fiesta in San Antonio, which starts next week. It's a great refreshing low abv beer.

You have left your hotel room, though, right? I mean, other than to buy beer?
