It's sad that I've been waiting to crack this bottle open since Tuesday. I'm going to be pissed if I can't pick up more on Monday. I decided to not run to the shop last Thursday before a lunch meeting. I hope I don't regret that decision.

So after enjoying a couple of Ballast Point Big Eye IPA's it now onto the main festivities. Weyerbacher's riserva 2012 [IMG] or [IMG] I'm loving it while watching the Green Hornet. As much as I watched Batman as a kid the green hornet in syndication was something I missed out on.

My son and his wife are on the way over to visit Pops. I have some Paulaner Helles (which neither of us have tried) and some Bigfoot ( which I have and think he might like). He'll turn me on to some cool new rap and I'll turn him on to some righteous old blues.

Sushi for dinner with Orval. Delish!

For dessert, caramel turtle brownie with fresh Bigfoot. Great pairing, but I'm wishing I'd opted for a Bigfoot from the cellar.

I missed out on last year's Cincy Beer Week barleywine, but I heard that was a nice brew. I thought the West Sixth Amber was good, although I do think the IPA is better. Both of the West Sixth canned beers I'd like to buy again. Unfortunately they don't make their way up here to the Columbus area yet, but the next time I go to Cincy or Louisville I'll be sure to buy more of their IPA (and probably the Amber too).

I'm so glad to be back on here with everyone and finally able to drink some beer again after dealing with kidney stones and having to go in and out of the hospital due to complications from said kidney stones. So I'm doing a little bourbon barrel coffee stout comparison tonight.
